That's what you suppose to do at a demonstration-try to break through the barriers and no one got hunted down nor "lynched" though plenty of the Hill staffers were in their reach. Even Pelosi's office was not vandalized. If you want to see real riots, there are plenty of examples on line from summer of 2020 and nobody behaved even remotely as badly on Jan.6th.
