Do you tell your buddies you hobby?
What do most of them think?

I've told a few guys. One guy said he'd be doing it if he weren't married.
I think other people think I'm joking...

Agree with drstrangelove, there is no upside to sharing this info with anyone. Unless you're a proud bachelor and just don't give a fuck then at minimum you risk your buddy saying the wrong thing at the wrong time around your wife or someone who can tell your wife. You also risk being treated like an asshole because "you pay for it."

Most wouldn’t care and a few would give me a thumbs up.
But some would either take pity on me or be disgusted, especially other women.
I don’t want to hear about their sex life at all if I know and like their partner.

Only trip to stripclubs with friends...other "hobbies" are strictly a solo trip...although what got me into this hobby was a former co worker taking me to an MP....I was curious and it got the best of me.

No.
It is not something that I speak about, and no ones business anyways.
I am sure that some women & men automatically assume I am sleeping with Sps because I am not married or in a relationship.

With all the divorces, single parents and unhappy people in marriages, they shouldn't be so judgemental.
I consider myself lucky to not have that baggage. Being free of these things is a blessing.
I'm at that age where I'm too old to raise kids.(Not that I want any.)

Had a conversation with an Sp the other day, and she said she wouldn't give up this lifestyle for anyone.
I totally get what she means.
Unfortunately society doesn't like men being single and not producing other tax payers.

Maybe a woman out there might come along and change my mind.
Hasn't happened yet.

Yup some do but I'm single and don't have to justify my self. I don't wave in their faces. I've also have quite a few married friends who have a more than a passive interest.

I'm currently single, none of my friends know and I'd be afraid to reveal it just since many people have very prudish and misinformed opinions about hobbying.
I'd kinda like to be able to be more honest about it and not treat it like a big secret, but IMO it's not worth revealing to people when a good portion of them will probably just judge you over it.

That said, I have respect for people that can be more open about it, especially celebrities. One thing that comes to mind is how a bunch of comedians (like Jim Norton, Patrice O'Neal, Bob Kelly) have been super open about it, reminiscing on the Opie and Anthony radio show about their sex trips to Brazil and other experiences. Even on that show, they had to deal with one of the hosts being a big prude. And I remember one time Aries Spears was a guest, and when they asked him what he likes to do with his money, unprompted and dead serious he was just like "I like to pay for sex". I wish I had that confidence.

Just another "vice" in my opinion. In my lifetime I've probably spent more on booze and other crap. Wish I started hobbying sooner!

I was at a buddies bday bbq last summer. I said “no more beers, I gotta drive home later”. He said…. “Trailers in the driveway, call up an escort and just sleep their tonight.”

Now they know.

No one from my "personal" life knows about this side of my life.
Most would be shocked.

However, I can say that I've met a few people through this hobby over the years who I've become friends with. Some MPAs and some other hobbyists.
Some I've known for over 20 years and we still keep in touch.

Wow...I think you guys are right. I won't talk about it anymore. I think the people I've known longer wouldn't care, but have no idea what newer friends would think. They probably think hookers are like meth heads in moss park or under the expressway ...something like that.

I only mentioned it once several years ago that I’ve hobbied to one of my best friends that I trust and am still friends with. Haven’t told anyone else. Best to largely keep it a secret.

I got no shame and nothing to hide.
So yeah, they do. Friends, Father [mother if she wasn't dead] etc.
