Here's an article for you: http://www.canadiancrc.com/Newspaper_Articles/Time_Magazine_infidelity_in_genes_15AUG94.aspx

It's a bit old and all I could find for you on short notice. Suffice to say the preponderance of evidence is that human males and females have an evolutionary imperative to cheat.
Holy f**k!! 1994. Geeze Louise! We've almost had whole generation grow up since then . Didn't they still deny cigarettes caused cancer back then?

I noticed right off the top the phrase, 'it MAY be in our genes', hmm!

I often wonder about the "we are morally superior" crowd.
Then there is the we "hold our country to a higher standard" crowd (i.e turn the other cheek). Most of the time these two crowds merge. Stalin and Hitler use to love the "we are morally superior" crowd.

You have no idea what you're talking about. I have no problem with going to war against tyranny. I have no problem with shooting someone that's trying to kill me. I'm not a turn the other cheek type guy.

I do insist that we maintain our values throughout the fight.

how can you not see the stupidity of this statement. there are no values or morals in a fight, you do what you have to do to win with the least amount of damage and loss.

Simon; before you start trying to make sense of Fuji`s Laws of Nature and Human Behavior take a quick boo at this famous thread from the past. Some of his finest posts can be found here along with some amazing Fuji `logic`. He has a real twisted view of real life situations. I know it`s a little long one but a quick scan of the highlights would definitely be an eye opener.

War is like a streetfight, not some kind of poetry contest, sometimes you simply have to get down and dirty to subdue the opponent. Never rule anything out or rule anything in.

Old Irish proverb: "Torture if necessary, but not necessarily torture."

You continue to fail at basic understanding. I can only assume that your ill thought out positions have some relation to your constant failure at understanding things.

If you attack me, or us, or our country, I have no qualms smashing your face with a garbage can or kicking you in the balls. Most likely I'd prefer to shoot you, but in any case, whatever force is required to stop you I will use.

Where I draw the line, where civilized people draw the line, what distinguishes me from a barbarian, is that once the enemy is subdued I treat them humanely, and it would be my goal to see to it that wherever possible civilians are not harmed by the fighting. Sure, it's not always possible--but there's a moral difference, a big bright moral difference, between doing your best to avoid harming civilians, and intentionally killing them or recklessly endangering them.

So put it this way: If you tried to smash my face in with a garbage can I'd kill you. If you didn't die I'd then tend to your wounds and try and get you to a hospital, and once you've healed I'd want to see you brought up on charges of assault.

Part of the oral history passed from generation to generation within the clan. Hee, hee, hee.

Another old Irish proverb: "Beware of strangers who are anal about links. He is probably an Orangeman." Hee, hee, hee.

Let's shake hands and go for a beer. BTW: Did you know that the "barbarians" treated their womenfolk better than the Romans treated their womenfolk?

I'm Scot/Irish and never heard of any such proverb, so I'm assuming you pulled it out of your ass.

Assume all you want. If you don't like, make up your own proverbs. There are no rules on who is allowed to create proverbs. If there are rules, please provide a citation or a link (hee, hee, hee).

So much for Old Irish proverb. You want to post bs go right ahead. Appears to be what you're best at.
