That's not so long ago. I hope you are doing better.Chris Cornell
Anthony Bourdain.
i think these celebrity suicides hit me hard because they happened at times in my life when I was struggling with pretty bad depression.

Excellent!!!!!!!!I am quite a bit better. Thanks.
I didn't know her, or ever correspond with her, but for some reason this hit me a bit too. I think it was because I read such good reviews about her, and next thing I knew she was gone. I also didn't know the cause of death, but anytime it's someone relatively young, suicide always is a possibility and it opened up a whole mental can of worms on me.In this world Bianca Bailey.
Wow ! What a post. Maybe your best ever. So touching. And I can totally relate. My father.
I was always closer to my mother and she predeceased my father by 5 years. That was bad enough.
But when my father died, I really crashed in so many ways. He was born in the depression and was made of steel. He worked his ass off in a hell hole to support his family and he never bitched about it once. He was the kind of guy if he dropped an anvil on his foot, he'd walk a mile out into the forrest before he screamed. He was the dad on our street that would cram his kids and four other kids on the street into a piece of shit Ford and take us all to the Ex. He used to do all kinds of work around the house, groceries, cooking meals, laundry, you name it. It was only as I got older that I realized that he knew the score. Something I didn't think he knew when I was a smart-ass in school living under his roof. Died way before his time just to cap it off.
OK, then. Nobody famous. Can't really speak for the OP but I think he's referring to people outside of friends and family.
IDK, maybe I'm wrong cause other poster listing non-famous people or people that maybe not been that close with.OK, then. Nobody famous.
Your dad sounds like a great guy. Growing up in that era you had to work to survive. That work ethic I'm sure rubbed off on you. My dad was similar although he was born post Depression era. A military man who was a hard worker and very handy around the house. But thank god my mom was a good household financial manager or else our hydro would have been turned off. Paperwork was not my dad's forte. My father.

I was sad to hear about Bianca. Saw her once and had a great time. She seemed very nice. Not sure what happened but I'm sure her death was a tremendous loss to those who knew and loved her.Shane Warne.

OMG how did I forget that one? That was such a shock.Michael Jackson.
This. Too young. Too soon. They’d still be playing and making great music if he were here.Neil Peart. I've been a RUSH fanatic since 1977.
Jim Henson. When I was a small kid I was glued to the tv when Seasame Street came on. Very influential in my life.
All the deceased cast members of the show Barney Miller. I've seen each episode a dozen times and could watch them dozens of more times.
P.S.: I'm assuming we're only talking about celebrities and not family members.
