Since when is a black man called a redneck?
lol
A black man cannot be called a "redneck" by definition.
"it is often used to attack white Southern conservatives, and more broadly to degrade working class and rural whites that are perceived by urban progressives to be insufficiently liberal."

But what if there's a Leafs fan there too, you gotta get a beer. Life is so tough!
No, you must not order beer if there is one Muslim in Scotiabank Arena. (I wonder if Kadr has ever gone out for a beer with the boys. If he did, then he is a bad Muslim.)

While religion itself might be a bit off topic, and I have no info on the Qoran, but bibilcally the bad acts related to lot and the OT which dealt with pederasty. For example, hetero males defeating armies in battle and having sex to demean them. That was unnatural, just like it would be unnatural for a gay man to have sex with a woman.

Gayness exists in most all species it is just as natural as being heterosexual or perhaps the best of both worlds bi. I am a zero on the Kinsey scale - extreme heterosexual. I don't see how women like us men but am sure glad they do! I don't have a heterosexual lifestyle any more than a gay or bi chooses a lifestyle - it is simply how were developed due to various complex factors in the womb.

Regarding Lot: The story of Lot does not address homosexuality or same sex acts in general, but, insofar as it condemns any sexual act, it condemns male anal rape of men. Furthermore, the rapists in the story are depicted otherwise as heterosexuals, that is, as men who have wives (Qur’an 26:165-66); “. . . it appears that the men of Lot’s Tribe were actually heterosexual men attempting to aggressively assert their power against other vulnerable men” (Kugle, 54).
What happens in the animal kingdom when a gay lion tries to mount another male lion?

Hopefully with my face in a pussy
Yet nothing of the kind was said during the preaching.
So you put words in others mouths, then criticize them for these words that they didn't say.
Yet other religious preachers, that do actually say these words and even worse, are given a pass just because they are not Christians.

Again, your views are blatantly Christianophobic.
Like I said, "You know damned well what is meant by his preaching."

And christianophobic? No, I don't fear any religion. I laugh at them.

There are plenty of black homophobes, but I was referring to the Terb rednecks who no doubt get empowered by your "joke of pride month" characterization. How enlightened! Fuck Leviticus! It is bullshit.

The war on Christianity continues without anyone flinching. Meanwhile members of every other religion do as they please.
Both the extreme Christians and the extreme Muslims are fucked up.....happy now?

You don't know everything that was said when they first got there. This video is all footage from after the pushback and the police were called. The preachers were there in the gay village ( despite what they said later) to repeat the bullshit notion that God hates gays and will not let them into his imaginary heaven. You know that and I know that.

Free speech shouldn't be something you protect only when you agree with the speaker. Being arrested for saying something that is offensive, maybe even offensive in the extreme, is what free speech stands against. If you can no longer even say whats on your mind, we have dropped to a very low level of freedom.
So you will defend me if I go to a Remembrance Day service and loudly decry the glorification of war during the minute of silence? Thanks, bro !

None of those things are a choice, and neither is homosexuality.
Insanity and other mental diseases are not a choice either
But we at least try to help those people

Homosexuality is acceptable for some odd reason despite being wrong both biologically and religiously

No, because what you call extreme Muslims exist in the tens of millions. Extreme Christians, not so much. Their scripture is also different... one dictates that non-believers should be killed...

You obviously didn't watch the video.
The Gays were circling around ready to pounce from the moment the group got there and started their own private, un-amplified group prayer to themselves.
Also there was no harassing being done at all. He was preaching love and respect for all people, including them.
Secondly, the cops showed up and immediately started trying to also charge him with hate speech, even though nothing hateful was said at all.

When Muslims were preaching in Toronto months ago without a permit, Rebel media videoed them actually preaching death to Gays. Death.
The cops not only didn't arrest them, they gave them a security escort so they could march while preaching this hatred.
All caught on video, yet no one does anything.

This was Christianophobia pure and simple. Maybe you should include all the facts when you repeat the story.
Thanks for the summary; reading a thoughtful text is so much more efficient than watching amateur TV. At the moment, YouTube can't even make the vid available, and your link just gets a 'Try again later' message.

If there were opposing people waiting, it's a consequence of advertising that you will be bringing an unwanted message where it is not welcome. If he just showed up, and they weren't waiting, it's evidence they're content and happy amongst themselves just as they are, without his message. Which they judged offensive.

Even messages of love and respect have to be delivered in a way that respects the people you push yourself among, on the public street. Especially when you use bullhorns. It's those people who get to say whether you were respectful, not you. Forcing your issue on them is not respect.

Cops don't "try to… charge" someone; they do charge them, or they do not. Charges are laid at the Police Station; at the site the officers only declare an arrest and the reason for it. They might have warned the guy that he was disturbing his audience, and that many of them already considered his remarks to be hate-speech. They might even have told him that he might be charged with that, as a warning to cool it, or as part of the arrest. But he was not, so what's your point?

Your second paragraph, doesn't give any source at all, so I can't comment on the event. But it seems you are saying the folks you call Muslims should have been arrested and charged for disturbing the peace just as as your guy was. If they did cause a similar disruption, I'm with you. But where's the evidence and details?

Out of nowhere you mentioned "without a permit". Did your guy have so little respect for public order that he didn't have one? People who actually intend love and respect for all don't just start shouting their harangues in any public place they please. They ask first, if this is a place where they may offer their message to those who choose to hear it. That's what permits are, ordinary love and respect reduced to official paperwork.

This incident had nothing to do with any religion. It was a guy out to make a fuss; he got what he wanted, and you fell for it.

All links to the videos I mentioned were given in the the first thread that was started on this topic, which was deleted for some reason. So I'm not finding and posting them again.

The opposing people were those who were walking by when the group huddled around each other at arrival, and started their own un-amplified group prayer to themselves.
As soon as pedestrians saw a group of people praying on the sidewalk, they stopped and were looking for a fight.

The Cops were threatening hate speech charges to the preachers when they got there, even though there was no evidence of hate speech at all. They even appealed to the public to submit any video of the event, so they could find evidence so they could lay further charges of hate speech. These appeals were mentioned in the media coverage of the event.
They must have been so disappointed when the video evidence showed that no hate speech ever happened.

This group has apparently been on a tour of Toronto this spring, doing this in various Toronto City Districts, and said they have never encountered this type of reaction and obvious Christianophobia.

And again, head down around the Eaton center on the weekends. People of all faiths, especially Muslims are there preaching, some times amplified, and no one says boo to them. No cops get called, nothing.
The hypocrisy, both by public officials, and the Gay community is palpable.

There was a link to the full video on Youtube, given in the first thread about this event. A thread now deleted for some reason.
That video was 2 hours long, and showed everything from the time the preaching group first showed up and started their own group prayer to themselves where people from the street were already corralling them and looking for a fight.
It showed the preaching he was doing before the cops arrived that did not include any hate or negativity towards the community, And that God and Jesus loves Gays as much as anyone. He stated this repeatedly in fact. It showed the multiple times he was pushed and blocked, and how the cops responded once they got there.
Pretty comprehensive documentation of the event.

No. I go by what people say and how they act.

He didn't say anything that preached hate or judgment towards them.
He tried to preach respect and love to all people of all walks of life.
And was treating them in accordance with that unless they were getting violent with him.

But apparently you are some magical mind reader, that can just look at a person and know exactly what they are thinking and going to do next.
Some all seeing being that knows all things about all people.
Makes one wonder why you are hanging around an escort review board instead of brokering world peace.

No wonder you laugh at religions, it appears you have the omnipotent power of a God all by yourself.

And by the way, lack of respect for a group is phobic in our society now days.

If this happened to a group preaching Gay rights, and you defended that treatment, that would be labelled Homophobic.
If this happened to a group of Muslims preaching, and you defended that treatment, that would be labelled Islamophobic.
So by the same judgment criteria, you sir are being Christianophobic.

So you say. The media coverage I've seen says different. And if you want anyone to believe stuff like: "The Cops were threatening hate speech charges to the preachers when they got there" you'll have to be more clear about which group is 'they' and more forthcoming about quoting the actual words.

Would "Be careful that what you say about this place and these people doesn't cross the line into hate speech, or you can be charged", qualify as a threat to you? Not to me. The appeals for videos came after the arrest; collecting evidence is what we pay police to do. How was it in any way improper.

None of what you have said, or offered in this thread is even the faintest evidence of what you call Christianophobia, by anyone.

You may have a cause, and one day you may be able to articulate it, but not with only this incident to hang it on.

Many people get charged with causing a disturbance on a daily basis. Do you ever hear the police asking through the media for video evidence so they can possibly lay further charges of Hate speech?

Again hang around the outside of the Eaton Center on a weekend in the summer. Many people disturbing the peace there. Not a single attempt at investigating hate speech, even when it is happening. I've seen it. Anyone who has been there can seen it.
Why was it done specifically with this one person. Especially when nothing even remotely close to hate speech happened.

And yes the police were threatening to lay further charges of hate speech when they arrived on the scene and arrested the preacher.
Why don't you look up the first thread where all this video evidence is presented?
Oh that's right it got deleted. Wonder why that happened?

Then why don't you look up the full video on Youtube. You have the preachers name. Its pretty easy to find.
Oh that's right, because you're not really interested in knowing what really happened.

You're content to assume what was said, and how it was said, based on who it was that was saying it.
Giving the benefit of the doubt to one group over another, with no interest in learning the facts.
This is exactly Christianophobia. As it is the Christian group that is the target of this behavior.
Just as it would be Islamophobia if it was done against a Muslim preacher in the same situation.
Or Homophobia if it was done against a person preaching Gay rights on a corner.
