what did you expect when the federal govt has spent the last nine years trying to shut down Alberta's economic engine?

I have stated many times Canadians would pay a a big price for electing the moron Trudeau
His number one responsibility as PM was to hold the country together
Instead he implemented the Gerald Butts plan.

Quebec should be shitting their pants.
What will they do without the Alberta transfer payments?
yeah.. like when Trudeau bought Alberta the pipeline through B.C.?

AFAIK Smith took the initiative on her own. If you're not aware, she's been touring the United States for the last two weeks, talking to anyone she can about Alberta.

She is the Premier of Alberta, not he Premier of Canada. It's too bad there is, for good reasons, a vacuum at the top and thus others have stepped in.

I mean, HOW could she not trust the current Federal Government run by a Trudeau not to look after AB's best interests :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:. Kill the oil industry and save the climate at the same time. :ROFLMAO:
She is a traitor to Canada. Every other province including Quebec are on board. We need to stand united against Trump, not make secret deals to save big oil. Trudeau bought a pipeline for Alberta, so cut that bullshit about him trying to kill the oil industry. He's trying to balance the oil with the climate challenges, and that takes compromise. Alberta loves to whine but they are doing fine. "Western alienation" is a crock used by Alberta politicians just like Trump uses Mexicans. It's crazy , because half of Albertans come from eastern Canada in the last 40 years!

you are just strange

one post you claim everyone is moving to the magical EVs
the next post you want to spend hundreds billions of other peoples dollars for a strategic oil reserve , despite Canada having the 3rd largest reserves in the World (too bad for you Trudeau killed Energy east)
and now you are back to the ecowarrior blither
a posting clown show

and you wonder why there is no team Canada approach when your lot is in power
time to fess up and admit how grossly flawed your views / ideals are
Why would a strategic oil reserve cost hundreds of billions? We are not gonna line the tanks with gold. 100M bbls of oil will cost a mere $10B I doubt tanks will cost more then 1B, the oil can be leasted to underwite futures contracts and it would actually make money. Even when EVs take over oil will remain an essential commodity for a long time, But the demand will start to fall sometime in the next 5-10 years. So lets see, Norway CRAZY RICH with over 80% of new cars EVs.. AB making Americans crazy rich ..most gas guzzling pick ups. Am I so strange? lol. You claim I am an Eco warrior when I told you I have oil stocks in my portfolio. WTF. Yes I like clean air and can't stand the smell of diesel fumes. Maybe coal roill youself while backing out the driveway lol .

Alberta can handle the booms and bust of commodity prices, they know and understand the nature of the energy business far better than you
what they can not withstand is any more of the Trudeau family
That is absolute RUBBISH. We have seen the turmoil they cause again and again. Many people don't want to work in the industry because of that. Maybe if the managed it better other provinces would be willing to collaborate with them more.

Most of Canada's GDP is in it's most populated province that being Ontario. Quebec has double the population of Alberta and is only 4% higher than Alberta's. Alberta has a higher GDP than B.C. which is NDP country. Alberta also has a higher GDP per capita than Ontario. Only NWT and Nunavut have a higher GDP per capita than Alberta.
Kuwait has a far higher GDP per capita than AB.

So Kuwait is a better place, right? 😹

Sorry, hindsight bias only works after the fact.

What other response would you have to a global pandemic with an infection no one has ever seen before?

What do you say in the initial response, "We'll just wait this out."? :ROFLMAO:
What do you say when nothing changes after the supposed first 2 weeks yet you keep it going for the next 2 years. Vaccines mandates were never recommended. And you don't fire healthcare workers during a pandemic.

Probably the same thing Ford said, we need to move forward.

And I disagree that having one of the lowest covid rates in the world can be interpreted as 'nothing changes'.
