Sure, they are propaganda idiots working directly for the GOP and in no way should be taken seriously as a news source. They have sold their souls for cash and access.

Now, lets see if you have the guts to state thate CNN and Jeff Zucker directly used biased coverage repeatedly to help cover up the Cuomo Family scandals and assist their Democrats based power base in NY. And repeatedly in their coverage side with the Democratic Party.
See, the main difference here is that CNN covers both sides of the story fairly evenly. They went after Cuomo for the sexual harassment charges, while Fox would have spun it in a way that would help a governor cling to power. The point here is they are not remotely the same. Chris Cuomo was justifiably fired. Zucker was fired because of a consensual relationship with an underling that they never reported. The only tie this has to the Cuomo shit was that it was discovered during the investigation. Zucker is not accused of giving Cuomo favourable coverage or instructing CNN not to got after the governor. Other shows and news coverage told the story, warts and all. Even when Chris Cuomo was fired, they told the story. Now Chris says Zucker and his girlfriend were aware of his dealings with him brother and supportive of that. But those are just allegations. Remember, Chris was fired for cause and wants the millions that remain on his contract.

But, let's again, compare it to Fox. Bill O'Riley and Roger Ailles were both accused of sexual harrasement multiple times. Fox paid out millions to keep it quiet. It was only after many instances of this happening that they finally fired their asses. Then we look at Hannity giving Trump strategy and his opinion on major issues affecting the country. Why isn't he facing any issues? Journalist or not, being an advisor is certainly something his audience should have been informed about. I mean, I doubt it would change his viewers opinions, but it really is a conflict.

People like you have a poisoned view of the media. You buy into the "enemy of the state" bullshit that Trump has been throwing around. You want to believe that CNN is the mirror image of Fox, just on the left. That is not the case at all. CNN has high journalistic standards. Do they make mistakes? Sure. Do they cover them up and ignore shit? No. They are fairly transparent about stuff like that. Fox doesn't acknowledge errors most of the time. Instead, they'll just shift coverage to something else.

As what Butler said, I have no doubt that Hannity and Ingraham are partisan hacks...but lefties are always in denial and consider CNN reports as gospel...you know CNN is as shitty as Fox, they mirror each other but of course you will deny this.
I don't know any lefties who think of CNN as gospel.

So that is why Hannity and Ingraham still have their jobs but Cuomo gets fire.

You're both right about that particular poster. I try ignoring him but he keeps popping up in almost every thread.
Well look who became brave, all of a sudden. Yet you turtle when accused of making racist statements. Why does nobody defend you? Hmmm.

Fox decision.... they just don't give a shit.
And that's the standard that the righties look to for their news and opinion. And you're admitting that CNN does give a shit about their standards.

Thanks for proving my point.

Yes he is accused of everything I said. It came out after. Cuomo did threaten to out Zucker.

And the point is it clearly shows a top down bias. CNN no longer has high journalistic standards. And they haven't for awhile.

As to getting fired it only happens when they get caught. Every anchor and employee knows it, and rides with it. Discovering "ethics" only after being caught isn't having ethics, its spin control.

Cuomo got burnt and it seems the allegations had legs and gained traction....where as Carlson and Hannity's were none...you really think CNN would risk getting sued by Cuomo if the rumors aren't true? Fox don't give a shit about rumors if it's just rumors...the last thing they want is lawsuits from wrongful dismissal of an employee....you should know this...but maybe you don't.

They only supposedly care when they get caught. That's not "standards". That's just trying to cover their asses.

Having Cuomo say anything is questionable right now. He might be right, he might be trying to bring Zucker down with him. Considering how the network hammered his brother for the sexual harassment kind of shows the allegation could be full of shit. I mean, if there was top-down pressure as you imply, wouldn't it have shown up in their coverage? Besides Chris Cuomo's show? I mean, I could understand he not covering it for obvious reasons.

And CNN still has high standards regardless what Fox and friends say. While their ratings are lower, they are still a trusted news source for many reasons. They aren't the BBC, but they do cover both sides of a story, which is something Fox and other right-wing media does not. They are not, nor have they ever been the propaganda arm of the Democratic party. I mean, seriously, their headquarters is in Atlanta. Project Veritas has attempted to nail them a bunch of times, and have come out looking foolish. You should really understand that MSM does not have a liberal bias. If anything, they over do the conservative side to avoid being labeled leftist.

Its all come out now. Zucker, his mistress, and Chris all in cahoots to prop up Andrew Cuomo. And when push came to shove the whole thing fell apart and the ratted each other out.

The simple fact they allowed Chris to repeatedly softball with his brother showed the bias. The regular communication to assist with messaging showed the collusion. This went on for a long time. And most importantly the response of the other anchors and employees in the wake of the firings was not distain for the obvious repeated breach of ethics but defense of the persons involved.

Any coverage after was nothing more than reputational CYA. It was common knowledge, just like with Weinstein, that Andrew was a scumbag. The problem is the press is too cosy now, because they want access. CNN picked sides, until it wasn't in their best interest.

Thats what happened.

And Fox just let's everything slide. Zero accountability.
Sure. I agree. Whatever. It does not mitigate the bias. It just says they will throw people under the bus to protect themselves when they get caught.

They haven't eliminated the bias, just changed the messenger.
