I think the chick is playin ya brotha...jus to show her friends and herself how she can make you do something so ridiculous to impress her. Thank her by giving her some ridiculous item of clothing, see if she wears it. I mean, why would a grown man feel obligated to wear $10 shoes?

And you don't have to be gay to care about how you appear. I'm not asking for much, but clean clothes, neat, and actual footwear, not something half a step up from radial tire sandals.
Real Crocs are in the $30 to $40 dollar range in TO . Very comfortable and extremely versatile . Wear them in the shower at the gym and wear them out to a casual hamburger dinner after . Can be used as a deck show when sailing or play golf in them if you forgot your Golf Crocs with the spikes . Wear them in the rain or wear them walking on a sandy beach .Julian said:
After comfort next best feature is they never stink . Sandals , runners, shoes all smell eventually but I've had my Crocs for two years and can confirm they don't smell . They've walked the beach in Florida and Cuba and sailed the Caribbean then been worn on the flights back and no odour.
Some people may find them ugly but I love my crocs and choose my footwear based on comfort level . Sorry ladies I know that's heresy but it is a guy thing (LOL)
I have some crocs in the more subtle colours of black and dark green and I love them. I agree, best 'shoe' ever. Fugly, but wonderfully comfortable.
I only wear mine around the house, or in the garden. I was told that they were too leisurely to wear in the office (but tank tops and shorts were ok. wtf?).

Ah, the great Croc debate. Clearly a case of function winning over form. I resisted the Croc urge for about two years. Everyone in my household had a pair, several of my friends, etc but I held out. That is until I actually tried them on in the store. Man are they comfortable. I would have to say they are the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned and are fantastic for the summer. I laugh at the comments that you can wear them with this but not that. Seriously, they look ridiculous with everything but at least you are comfortable. As for looking like a fool, who cares? I'm married and I pay for no strings attached sex. Who do I have to impress?!
I have a pair of crocodile skin shoes - they are great...I've had them for years and they wear really well as they still look brand new. I much prefer them to leather dress shoes with a suit....they are more snazzy and don't wear out. Not what this thread is about, but I thought I'd just add this as I've never herard of casual shoes called 'crocs', but I'm not up on these things lol.
