I thought it is the Dutch who wear wood shoes. Do I have my Dutch and Danes confused?danmand said:I am from denmark, wooden shoes.
They were and are very popular for gardening and outside work all over scandinavia.Rockslinger said:I thought it is the Dutch who wear wood shoes. Do I have my Dutch and Danes confused?

Not just the price, the total lack of anything approaching style or decorum. They scream "I've given up about how I look, I just want to be a comfortable schlub".Julian said:I think the chick is playin ya brotha...jus to show her friends and herself how she can make you do something so ridiculous to impress her. Thank her by giving her some ridiculous item of clothing, see if she wears it. I mean, why would a grown man feel obligated to wear $10 shoes?
Real Crocs are in the $30 to $40 dollar range in TO . Very comfortable and extremely versatile . Wear them in the shower at the gym and wear them out to a casual hamburger dinner after . Can be used as a deck show when sailing or play golf in them if you forgot your Golf Crocs with the spikes . Wear them in the rain or wear them walking on a sandy beach .Julian said:I think the chick is playin ya brotha...jus to show her friends and herself how she can make you do something so ridiculous to impress her. After comfort next best feature is they never stink . Sandals , runners, shoes all smell eventually but I've had my Crocs for two years and can confirm they don't smell . They've walked the beach in Florida and Cuba and sailed the Caribbean then been worn on the flights back and no odour.
Some people may find them ugly but I love my crocs and choose my footwear based on comfort level . Sorry ladies I know that's heresy but it is a guy thing (LOL)
Man up . My dress Crocs are a nice black model that go with anything .SkyRider said:Ok, ok, here is the compromise. I am wearing the crocs at home but not in public (not yet anyway).
At least everybody agrees they are comfortable.
