Muddy Waters was on tour with Ann Cole and covered "Got My Mo-Jo Working (But It Just Won't Work On You)" after hearing her sing it. He recorded it first in 1956 but she got hers out quicker in 1957.

Here's the original version of "Can't You Hear My Hearbeat" by Goldie & the Gingerbreads from 1964. They were an all-female American rock band from 1962 to 1967 consisting of 3 musicians and a singer, the first all-female rock band signed to a major record label.
