The Germanies of this world?

Didn't they lose to some slow lethargic team in blue.
I never looked below your terb name. I meant that Germany has performed better than Argentina in the last few years at the international level and it's due to their fitness than their technical ability. Italy didn't play nearly as slow as Argentina did in this competition and I thought many of their attacks against the Germans were explosive to say the least.

Currently in south america their is Brasil and then a long line of wannabe's. Argentina was never in the game.
The really scary part for the rest of the world is now, that Brasil is playing defense!! and are tactically well coached.
Against Argentina they dominated the midfield and disrupted any rhytm that Argentina was trying to get in to.

The US team was shown their current place in the soccer world VERY clearly.

Uhm, they won the Gold cup against Mexico.

They brought their C-team to the Copa and it showed
Against a "B" Mexican team.
Why would anybody think that the MLS is more important then the Copa? For the US to become a reputale force they need start beating top tier teams.

Even in the best of worlds Mexico is not a top tier team.

I am waiting anhoping for years now, that the USA will take the next step. I was all excited on the prospect of getting Klinsman as the coach, but some knucklehead screwed that one up.
Now we are stuck with the same old system..again.

I've been waiting for the Americans to make the great leap forward as well. I've also been waiting for Germany to become a power in hockey.

There's only two ways the US can get better, MLS becomes and elite league, or more US players play in Europe.
