If you want to analyze the calls then:
- The interference call on the TD was wrong, so give Seattle 7 pts but take away the field goal they got on the same drive. That`s only 4 points.
- It honestly looked to me like Roethlisberger WAS IN on his TD.
- A couple (not all) of the holding penalties were questionable, but there`s none of them that you could honestly say Seattle would`ve definitely scored if they hadn`t happened.
- As long as we`re talking about questionable calls, what about the Steelers fumble recovery by Polamalu that was ruled an incompletion?
As JUST to the penalties/officiating calls that MAY have played a role into the outcome of the game.
Your first point is correct. add 4 points to Seattle = 14
Your second point is incorrect. Not one replay angle showed the ball cross the plain of the end zone. The linesmen in this cause came charging down the line looking to make a spot. But, 3/4 of the way started to raise his arms for a TD. C'mon. In a game like that, in a situation like that, you don't make qurestionable calls like that. minus 4 points for Pgh.(assuming they would kick field goal) = 17
Your thrid point is also incorrect. There was an extremely feeble call of holding on the pass that put Seattle on the Pgh 1 yard line with a first down. That would practically guarantee a TD. Add 7 points to Seattle. = 21
Your fourth point is inconsequential as it did not affect a score.
Balance of penalties/officiating calls would result in a "non-officiating-skewed" result of Seattle 21, Pgh 17.
This does not mean Pgh. would not have won anyway, but it does mean that as a result of very questionable officiating, that is what the score would have been without the dubious officiating.
