When an White escort travels to another city for work, that's what the industry calls touring. When an Asian escort does the same, especially a migrant in sex work, they must be a sex trafficking victim. I've found that even sex workers themselves will perpetuate racist stereotypes.

Interesting because I always read on merb that there’s not enough ebony women in agencies and that it’s not representative of Montreal.
Ignore people like this, they think they something about how businesses work but they don't. I'm not going to home depot looking for Louboutin shoes, I know I won't find it there. That's why agencies think they won't make money with women who aren't thin, white and in their 20s. Clients looking for other demographics know to look for Indys as they are very rare at spas and agencies.
If businesses sold whatever would make money we wouldn't have specialty stores, each business would sell all kinds of things. The businesses hiring has far less to do with a proper market analysis, and more to do with having created an expectation amongst consumers about what is to be found there.
I doubt I have as much experience with sex trade workers as some members here claim.
I'll just say they come from a variety of backgrounds. Very hard to stereotype them.
One of my most interesting experience was with a woman (I guess in her 30's). She is Portuguese and owns a small office cleaning company and escorts on the side. Has a young son who is a huge Raptors fan. So, I gave her a couple of Raptors tickets.

I have social anxiety too. Coming from the other side of the coin this job and the experiences i've had have actually helped me not overthink my interactions with most people like the barista or my peers in class. I am just as happy to set boundaries now in my personal life as my work life which was a huge struggle for me before. I also find it easier to relax into a conversation. I think getting to meet such a range of people has also given me more confidence in my day to day life. You guys have really helped me flourish in my personal life and for that i'm thankful

I had multiple agencies not even bother to contact me back before Mirage did and i'm grateful they have always been so sweet and welcoming with me and took a shot. I think we should listen to providers experiences and learn from them to make the industry more inclusive for everyone

I don’t think people here really understand probability. There is a significantly higher probability that you will encounter a drug addict, someone with father issues etc… as a prostitute. However, this doesn’t mean its valid to assume any specific escort that you are meeting falls into these categories.

Going off topic it makes no sense to me that in German speaking countries like Germany, Austria and Switzerland there is a huge demand for black women and can charge double or alot more, when browsing escort agencies, massage parlors and other erotic places black women charge 200 euros versus the 150 euros white women charge, or 100 euros for 30 minutes versus the 50 euros white women charge. There is not a huge demand among German Canadian men or German American men for black women. Alot of black Brazilian and black American women love to work in Germany.
