Thanks for this. I thought it was the restaurant's that posted higher prices BECAUSE Uber Eats takes a cut so they had to raise the price to stay profitable.Tried Uber Eats only because they had a $20 promotion. Thought I would get my regular meal at a restaurant I usually get food from but actually shelled out more than $10 than I would’ve paid if I had dined in and the food was cold. When the restaurant owners told me that they post the same prices but Uber Eats raises it to what the customer sees on the menu so that Uber Eats gets a cut from the customer using the app. Never used the app again.
Yeah, they jack up the prices from what the restaurant charges, plus they take about 40% from the restaurant itself and we're supposed to tip 15% and up on the jacked up price including paying tip on the tax and all for an inferior product.Tried Uber Eats only because they had a $20 promotion. Bistro on Avenue, not that far from me, is mainly wings but they've opened up a pretty good deli downstairs. Thanks for this. I thought it was the restaurant's that posted higher prices BECAUSE Uber Eats takes a cut so they had to raise the price to stay profitable.
Almost every delivery we tried, food quality has suffered. Except for pizza, which is delivered by the pizza company.Tried Uber Eats only because they had a $20 promotion. I asked one of the riders.“I guess you can ride fast when you are 21 years old.”
They are mostly all riding e-bikes.
It's as if you're in a restaurant, your food is ready and they leave it under a heat lamp for an hour before bringing it to you. And they charge you a surcharge for storing your food for you.Almost every delivery we tried, food quality has suffered. Except for pizza, which is delivered by the pizza company.
There are exceptions. They usually have the bag to keep it warm, but yeah no way it is as good as the restaurant. Unless its something like a shawarma roll, or a cold sandwich.
People have become lazy and addicted to convenience no matter the cost or consequence of shitty cold soggy meals for double the price.Crazy idea. Why not pick up the food yourself, instead of paying higher rates for delivery? Think incall vs. outcall.
Also happened to me in a sushi place. I preferred to call and ask for an order to pick up myself.Tried Uber Eats only because they had a $20 promotion. Reminds me of the American pilots who first saw the German Me-262.they blow by you in the bike lane silently... kinda scary
What's the accepted amount to tip a drone?Hoping drones solve this in our lifetime, although at least one a day will fall on someone.
Gee. I thought comparing a bicycle to a tank would be a better analogy than to an airplane.Reminds me of the American pilots who first saw the German Me-262.
