I did already say that I enjoy his salad. I'm not much for the clamato juice so I still with Bloody Mary's. WTF more do you want?

I am strictly talking about one particular recurring comment: "He will be missed."

I'm not saying somebody's death is a trivial thing. It is sad that Sid died. I got lots of laughs from him. But seeing as for the vast majority of us, for the longest time, his impact on our lives was of memories we have and video. His death does not change that. We can make him as much a part of our lives now as we did before his death. For remote fans like us, he will not be missed. Sad? Yes! Miss? No.

Yes. Joey Bishop had his own comedy series and was in Ocean 11 (original)

I remember Sid in It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World when he was trapped in the hardware store with his hot wife.

Oh man you've got a great memory. IAMMMW is one of my funniest movies ever! Do you remember those scenes with Johnathan Winters lol. There was scene by that guy who was in Ellery Queen - he darted out of some place when he knew about some treasure. The spontaneity of the jokes were great in that film.

What I am saying is that to say he will be missed (obviously not referring friends and family) by people eulogizing him, when they either didn't know he was still alive or said celebrity had been out of the spotlight and done nothing career wise for so long, is a ridiculous comment. What exactly are they going to miss?

A guy like Phillip Seymour Hoffman? Sure, we will miss out on many great performances he probably would have made. But somebody long retired? I don't think so.
You have a point Shack for long-retired people.

(Honestly, I forgot that Johnny Carson died until someone reminded me recently).
