Dave Chappelle won't hold back when he headlines Summerfest on Sept. 11; presumably, he won't get arrested for his routine like George Carlin did.

Dustin Hoffman played Lenny Bruce in the biopic Lenny directed by Bob Fosse. If you're easily offended don't watch it...the Jewish grandmother scene has me ROTFL every time. It's a very funny, very sad film.

Jack Roy was still selling aluminum siding when he started writing material for Lenny Bruce. Bruce was still alive when Roy got back into stand up full time. Roy's agent told him he wouldn't go anywhere with his real name, he needed to change it. So Lenny Bruce's writer went from Jack Roy to Rodney Dangerfield.
I spent some time at the same resort as Don Rickles, and we had many a drink together. He was the nicest man in person, always willing to shake hands with strangers.

Today's cancel culture and woke lefties want to put all of those freedoms back into a bottle and live like the tight asses of the past, but ONLY if the content offends those on one side of the political aisle. They encourage comedians and common citizens to be as gory, mean-spirited, hateful, violent, and dehumanizing if it's aimed at someone on the opposite aisle.
