as I said, Malone is not alone....there are MANY ...and very qualified from Harward, Stanford, Yale, UK universities, Israel
universities.....ignore them all ? Not to mention, there are countries that managed to flatten their infections/hospitalization
practically to about zero levels, without mass vaccinations and draconian lockdowns...ignoring their experience too ?
Malone is alone in all kinds of the crazy shit he says.
Other shit he says has people who agree with him.
But to answer your main question, of course not.
You look at what they did and how applicable it is to other situations.
What about the Japan model should we have copied (for instance).
What about the Sweden model?
These discussions are happening all the time.
The problem is you have one side with open minds, actively discussing the evidence and making policy in response to it with an eye towards the health and success of the coutnry and another aggressively politicizing the pandemic in order to advance their goals of political power, raw ideology, or even worse motives.
That makes real discussion very hard because instead of good faith discussions about what to do, you have bullshit and nonsense thrown against the wall because throwing sand in the gears is more important to these people than finding solutions. You can usually identify this because all evidence always leads to the conclusion they already want.
