Meant it more in the sense of needing to, as in competition to Brit. Spears. Always felt they we trying to out do each other.

Musically I don`t really care for either and feel they have average voices. If you want to hear some top voices try Diana Krall, Jane Monheit or Stacey Kent for starters, they have some great pipes.

I read a piece on her in Rolling Stone a little while back, and her new persona is not a promotional or competitive thing, it is just how she feels about herself and her sexuality at this point. She wants to be a Dirrty Girl and she's doing a good job of it.
