Chess Opening e4 vs d4

I'm hoping I can get some advice from strong chess players on e4 vs. d4.

I've stopped playing e4 because of the many counter variations, and particularly being annoyed playing against the Sicilian Defense.

Fortunately, because I have extensive experience in the Sicilian lines, I have had much success as of late with d4 and c4.

Should I continue with d4 exclusively, what are the advantages/disadvantages?

My rating is 1300 and I would like to get to the 1500 level at some point.

Yes true, they are notorious for changing sides halfway through the game.

e4 then c3 then c4 with bishop f3 with kn

u can now b3 queen attacking king side with bishop or b7 with queen if he has pulled bishop to pin your knight

the negative is queens kn does not get out


your rating is as mine but I have never studied the game


to get good at game u have to memorize positions so u know what to do intuitively

they did a study where top players had to play a board that was set up in a way that would never happen and they were no better than anyone else


they r top players because they have memorized thousands of set ups and know the book moves

If you are under 2000, then you should spend 95% of your time on improving your middle/endgame.
It does not matter what you play, d4 or e4.
