At this time of year the popular tire shops would be fully booked until December so might be best to check out one of the smaller shops.
Tires23 has always quoted me the best prices all in.
You had to order the tires before and then go in to have them put on though.
Simplytires has great service but prices aren't always the best compared to Tires23 and sometime Costco.
They are popular enough that they only offered discounts/specials on tire and rim packages this winter and they are still fully booked well into December.
Costco is great but you'll be out of luck for an appointment this year.
Some of the other tire shops in Brampton(tire world, Bramalea tires,) and Scarborough(joy city tires) do offer good prices.
You can get cheap Chinese brands and decent Japanese brands a little higher in price but still well below the prices of the two top brands Michelin and Bridgestone.
A cheap winter tire may very well be better than the best all season or summer tire in winter.
Having two sets of tires, one for winter, and one for summer will last you a long time.
Beware of shops like Canadiantire that may try to sell you older tires if you don't know how to read the manufacture dates on the sidewall, plus their quotes will not include, balancing, installation and taxes etc.
