How dumb can you be? To pull that stunt in front of a female judge --- apparently one with no sense of humour. Anyway, off to jail Chad goes.
I thought so as well. It was just a slight pat on the backside. Silly but rather harmless and the pattee didn't complain but in "civilized" society that is technically assault and the judge was not amused. It seemed a bit harsh.
Most rational people who are not overly self-absorbed (Hello Chad) already know this. I imagine his lawyer would have also reminded him several times over the course of his trial to watch himself.I thought so as well. It was just a slight pat on the backside. Life lesson: Always be on your best behaviour in front of any judge because they have the power to throw you in jail.
Totally agree. He pats his lawyer on the butt while in hand cuffs. He's a jock, that's how they say "good job" or "way to go". I didn't find it disrespectful. It's not like his lawyer was a female and I doubt he was offended by it. If I was the lawyer for 1/100th of a second I'd think "that's different" but soon correlate it to him saying "nice play" on the field.over reaction by the judge. she is obviously insecure.
she ordered him to thank his lawyer, he patted his male lawyer on the butt and said good job-typical for a football player, nothing to do with the judge or court.
For a court room he was out of line, the same as he'd be out of line wearing a suit for a football game. Conduct yourself based on the situation.Totally agree. 7 days in jail for stupidity. That judge does not suffer fools gladly. Imagine what punishment she would hand out if she is a mod on TERB.He appeared again before the same judge today and apologized to her for disrespect to the court. The Judge accepted his apology and reduced his sentence to seven days.
