I read that some employers are finding it difficult to hire or re-hire workers because of CERB.

I do not believe this

I feel the majority of people do not want to work because of covid paranoia (eg look at all the sheeple running around with masks)

I think even removing CERB lots will still refuse to work

I suspect that for me, half of the staff not returning is because of fear, and half is because they can sit home and get CERB for another month.

I have been told that the mortgage deferral program is limited to 6 months and after that if the mortgage is not paid, it will be considered as going into default. When CERB is no longer is available, many may not have a choice but to go back to work in order to cover any loans and mortgages that were on a deferral plan. Otherwise they risk of having their credit rating suffer.

According to the stats that have come out from the government in Ontario and Canada since the reopening stages and reopening of businesses from shutdowns in the last 2 months majority of Ontarians and Canadians have gone back to their jobs and have not stayed on CERB.

As usual it’s an irrational claim for people who believed a $2000 CERB payment wasn’t enough and they needed businesses to reopen because their livelihoods were taken away from them to think a $2000 CERB payment is enough for others to survive.

What has happened a large percentage of people are taking precautions before returning to their jobs for their own safety or due to medical conditions and a small percentage are not going to go back because of this threat and their medical conditions.
