If they actually cared about the first nations I might be inclined to agree with you but they don't. This is all just luxury beliefs held by pompous self righteous boomers who think the worst thing in the world is to be accused of being an 'ist' or supporting an 'ism'. If they actually cared, they would do things to make the lives of first nations better, like making sure every reserve in the country has clean running water. Instead they do things to make themselves feel better while functionally doing nothing to help the very people they are 'acknowledging'.

They spent BILLIONS on first nations for water, and compensation, in addition the Northern BC tanker ban is to protect first nations that depend on the shores for their subsistence.

It only makes sense to have one of the worlds largest investment companies to manage the investment of these funds.
For example:

I actually CAN'T do that myself. I signed up for a twitter/ X account once, just to be able to lurk, and within 48 hours, my account had been closed 'for violating terms of service', even though I hadn't made a post. I also can't post on Discord, because I don't own a cell phone, so I can't receive a text message to confirm the account.

Personally, I think anyone who allows their 'anonymous' account on a social media platform to be directly associated with a cell phone number is more than a little naive. To me, that's right up there with voluntarily providing a DNA sample to some ancestry website.
