At this point I would say there is a pretty clear difference in style if governance between PP and Carney. I agree Carney is an old school Neo Liberal Globalist. But right now we need someone who speaks that language.

Cripes he is opening pipelines, mining, and working on opening markets. And discussing an austerity political climate coming. Dropping immigration levels. He is essentially right of center.
My man, I'm done with you guys. There's no point arguing.

Even after crooked accounting, the guy has a $78.3 Billion dollar deficit and you're happy he's "right of center". 🤦‍♂️

He's the leader Canada deserves.

Canada
Elizabeth May, of all people, was the vote that avoided a Christmas election. 170 yes, 168 no.

As a Conservative I'm happy the budget passed. A forced election just before or after Christmas nobody wants at this point. Another election is just a matter of time. Spring or fall 2026 I'm certain of. The problem if the Conservatives do win is a) they might not have a majority and b) the situation will be a horrible mess.

Yes, Scheer did good for Canada by hiding in the hallway and not voting.

unfortunately most do not understand that we are being lead by the liberals down the path of a catastrophic debt spiral

just about everyone knows of a friend , family member , acquaintance who has got into a nasty debt problem and seen first hand the hardships it created

we all know we can not borrow / spend to excess

but for some strange reason far too many incorrectly think financial responsibility does not apply to governments

this will end very badly for all Canadians

this is insanity and well in excess of sustainable

Make no mistake about it. This debt burden + the provincial debt will put universal health care at risk
it will also scare away business investment dollars

unsustainable and irresponsible governance brought to you by the liberal party of Canada
to be followed by a reduction in Canadian living standard

You have zero cred on this issue until you call out DoFo as loudly.

Yes he is, but he is also keeping benefits like dental and pharma because he knows they save costs from more serious ills if these things are not attended to. He is a blue Liberal like Chretien. For right now I think he is the right man until he proves otherwise. His KEY skill is the ability to sell Canadian debt by explaining why the spending we are doing is not open ended, and is part of a plan.

The thing is they do understand the situation. They do know none of this makes any sense. It's all based on being anti-conservative.

Is it too early for me to call Carney a fraud? This guy is Justin Trudeau with a finance background. He's not even a businessman, he's a corporate financier.

I've said before I see this playing out like the Ontario Liberals or the BC Liberals, but I think the stubbornness of Left supporters will never allow change.

But for me, there is an indirect feeling of relief because they can no longer complain. When Service Canada adds another 1 hour wait time for help, Hospital transfers payments are allocated to debt payments, or when economic choices are put ahead of green/renewable agendas , I will accept no complaints or criticisms.

Carney was brought in because Justin Trudeau had lost his appeal
Gerald Butts and Steven Guilbeault endorsed him, so the net zero agenda and spending was promised
these two don't compromise even when the facts and math are starring them in the face

they are going to save the planet, so that will justify just about any amount of borrowing spending , ........... while still retaining power
socialists do not concern themselves with fiduciary responsibility

I've said before I see this playing out like the Ontario Liberals or the BC Liberals, but I think the stubbornness of Left supporters will never allow change.
ontarios debt burden is massive

risking universal health care would put peoples lives at risk
and they are currently spending all the future tax revenue for several generations
The future of those youths will be defined by the tax burden they will be forced to bear
so no true relief

Its no secret that I fucking despised Justin Trudeau with every ounce of my being. He was completely useless. I dreamed of the federal liberals suffering an extinction event in the last election, but I have to hand it to Justin, he completely out maneuvered Poilievre. He played it brilliantly. The liberals knew that given everyone's hatred of Justin that they'd be lucky to win 40 seats in an election and that in order to avoid that, Justin needed to go before the election. The old methodology of the dying leader leading his troops into a futile battle and then resigning the night the election results poured in seemed like such a waste of time. So someone came up with a brilliant plan. Make it look like a mutiny from within. But how?

My money is on Gerald Butts. Engineer a mutiny of the good ship liberal by putting forth some ridiculous budget with a 42 billion dollar deficit. Then get Chrystia Freeland to suddenly grow a spine and attack Justin and then resign via the media in spectacular fashion with some preplanned bogus resignation. Now the dye is cast. The media just laps it up and Justin falls on his own sword. Then he announces his resignation and wait for it, prorogues Parliament (why) until a new leader is picked. And along comes Carney.

Now the hated Trudeau is gone and Justin's liberal party is forgiven for all the times they all licked Trudeau's ass. Now there's always the risk that the public won't forgive the liberal party and boots them out anyway. But really, what do you have to lose. And it turns out it works and Carney saves the day. We'll played Justin and a few key liberals. It worked.

And now we have Prime Minister Carney.

But I'm willing to give Carney a shot because we can't keep doing the same shit and expect a better result. Mow I'm well aware that Carney is going to be running deficits, and I hate that shit. And I know people will say, "well how is Carney any different than Trudeau?"

Well he ain't the same. Not by a long shot. Yeah, he's running deficits, but he's not giving away the money to idiots like Justin did. He's no engaging in simple wealth redistribution like Trudeau, he's INVESTING in the country for the first time since God only knows. Maybe Mulroney. Maybe Pierre Trudeau. Carney is just saying I gotta do something to improve Canada's productivity, to genuinely build infrastructure to help the private sector. He's going to build ports and pipelines and high speed railways and airports and LNG facilities. He's not going to give certain species more beer money like Justin did for 10 years. And given the orange maggot down south, he knows rhat the relationship with the Yankees is forever changed. And so ya gotta spend money to make money.

So fuck Justin Trudeau, the incompetent Fuckhead. But I'm liking what Carney is doing. I will give him a chance and I hope he succeeds.

Compared to DoFo, who is both running a massive debt and giving away the money to useless insiders?
