Trump: The USMC is great for all countries.

Carney: Some things about it are gonna have to change, and part of the way you've conducted these tariffs has taken advantage of existing aspects of USMCA. So it's gonna have to change.

I have no problem with Carney playing the game. Trump is an abject disaster of a human. He is idiotic but incredibly vain. Blowing a little smoke up his ass is a good strategy. It has long been a successful negotiating tactic with Mango Mussolini, so why not flatter him a bit. Again, I have no concerns that Carney is going to back down or capitulate. There will be some negotiations, but we'll see how that all shakes out.

Carney knows what needs to be done to appease Trump...he's got too much investment n the US to pissed Trump off...They can definitely work together... as Trump expected. This is a good thing. Canada partnering with the US will force China to cave in... Trump and Carney is a good North America combo...this will also force Mexico to secure the border on their end...it's a win-win-win.

Fuck "North America" -- this continent is shit, save for Canada. It's too bad we can't be a part of Europe. Be good to be near countries we have something in common with.

Yes he did, Trump was doing all the talking with the journalists then turned to Carney and asked him if he had anything to say? He said yes I'm sitting on the edge of the chair. He kissed Trumps ass.

It’s early days. It remains to be seen what kind of deal Carney can get for Canada …so far I don’t see anything…other then allowing Trump to insult Canada…and fall prostate at his feet. I think this should be solved like men… let’s have a cage match!

Trump doesn’t like to admit it…but he needs the foreign countries like china, Japan and Taiwan to buy its government Treasury bonds…those three countries alone own approximately 5-6 trillion $ worth…without them us interest rates would be much higher. …more importantly, without China and the USA having mutual economic interests….the prospect of military conflict increases …even a bigger problem…so I hope some of the adults in the room figure this out. Took trump less than 100 days to really fxxk things up

He did not fall prostrate or do anything like that.
That is just quisling talk.
Trump is a rambling fool and it is beneath Carney's intellect to engage with his rambling.
Carney engaged when he had to and put his foot down and told him that Canada will never be the 51st state.
And this press conference was before the talks if I am right.
A deal is not going to be cut in this visit.
It will take much more.
I would be happy if the result of this visit is an agreement on an agenda they will negotiate on in the future.
That would be progress.
