More arbitration then, isn't that what usually goes on during a strike until they can come up with an agreement? or this is because they bled more money? Notice how a Canada post who directly impacts consumers they can give a rats ass but an Air Canada strike somehow is more vital?
Still arguing other people should make less money?

Geez you don't understand the difference between arbitration and negotiation? Binding arbitration is indirect, and the arbitrator will impose an agreement if the 2 parties are unable to agree. Money bleeding is a big thing. That is why I said the union should have made it clear they were likely to ignore a back to work order. There are lots of alternatives to Canada post. Even more since the strike

Arbitration and negotiation come hand in hand...at the end of the day, they will sit down if they need to. It's just a matter of how much they are willing to lose in $$$ terms.
Can you name any Canada post "alternatives" that cost less? You think there are no alternatives to Air Canada?

The limitations do not apply to AC.
Passenger travel isn't an essential service.
Who are you to say that? And also they carry a TON of cargo. People travel for medical care and essential goods are also transported by AC. BUT I would say the airline needs to be fined for not conducting an orderly shutdown before the strike,

No they do not come hand in hand, they are very different processes. Mediation is a middle ground.

Sure EMAIL lol. Yes there are alternatives but not enough scale or frequency. And there are many communities that have no alternatives.

West Jet and AC are 75% of the airline industry in Canada.
We have too many industries that are essentially monopolies now.

This is the only way for Canada to not be a Walmartized economy. Without concentration we cannot even get close to the economies of scale. This is why Canada needs 100m people to remain independant, if not we will be the 51st to 57th states.
