Yes, I thought it was a nice gesture by the community to hold the kickoff in front of TPS HQ, especially since that other community and BLM banned the police from their parade.

I have friends that work at ol CP24, and according to them, she is one of the few people there that are actually as nice, and bubbly, and friendly, as she appears on camera.

Racist trolls every year talk about the dozens of killings the parade has...meanwhile from my memory and a quick search there has only been two shootings actually at the parade :

1996: August 3, 1996: Elrick Christian, 23, was shot and killed and three others, including a nurse visiting from Britain, were wounded during the Caribana parade. Three men were arrested on weapons-related charges after a volley of shots are fired in Marilyn Bell Park beside the parade route.
2011: A man died in a 2011 shooting, while the woman he was with suffered multiple gunshot wounds. putting her in critical condition. Another man was hospitalized after the bullet grazed his eyebrow.[38]

As an aside I notice women now get with men that look feminine or weak and couldn't protect no one from even a mosquito. I guess women want the control but that likely gets old and they go cheat after with the alpha dog. Maybe this gino has money or something that's part of the attraction.

2) A Minister gave a Christian prayer.
3) A moment of silence for our fallen soldiers.
4) Premier Ford greeted with huge applause and spoke. He said in an interview that he will march in the parade.
5) Trudeau not there but sent Minister Hussen.
6) Scheer also sent a representative.
7) The Conservatives, Liberals and NDP also had representatives who spoke.
8) Chief Saunders also spoke.
