I'll just file this one under the risks of living. If you do something stupid, you have to live with the result. He should be happy he didn't succeed in making the Darwin awards list, unless of course he managed to sterilize himself in the process of getting hurt.LancsLad said:"Whitebread" here with my humble opinion.
Don't blame Carabana.
Don't blame the City.
No one made him drink.
He's 25, pretty much a legal adult and hypothetically responsible for his actions.
Yes, a lost leg is not a good thing.
Many more cops would just lead to " community" tension.

Doesn't anyone remember the old LCBO quote "You are your own liquor control board"? When did we, as a society, lose the sense of personal resonsibility?Strongbeau said:Sigh. Re-reading my post above, even my "alternate" quote above still kind of lays the blame on liquor and its effects, rather than the choice a person makes on if, when, and how much to drink.

No, it is sad that people cannot take responsibility for their own actions. It is sad that there are so many stupid people in society. It is also sad that the parents must blame others instead of accepting the fact that they did not have the best parenting skills and it is ultimately their fault as many of the decisions that their kid made are a result of their parenting.Fabulous said:It's very sad that the accident happend.
