Anything can give you anxiety, and anxiety is a psychological symptom, anything you get scared of, that might've given you a bad experience in the past... And also the high potency of weed nowadays.
I have also heard that sometimes you are just not in the correct state of mind to be consuming weed you know.

A friend once tried weed for anxiety and said it made everything feel amplified—in his case, not in a good way either. He found that just having a small ritual, like rolling his own with accessories from www.smokeday.com, gave him a bit of control, even if the effects weren’t always pleasant. Sometimes it’s about finding what works for your own mind, even if that means avoiding it or microdosing like you said.

Could be allergic reaction as you get older since the body goes through changes especially with all the chemical stuff in us such as processed food, cleaning supplies, etc. And the THC levels are way too high. You're best to roll your own extremely thin joints or get a pipe/bong and stick to 2 small puffs or try oils. I'd recommended getting advice from a medical marijuana shop. It's a well known fact ingredients in many products do trigger anxiety down the road hence why so many people eventually need to go on certain meds as they get older.

I've tried CBD gummies with no THC the odd time to feel "calm" and they at times do help. Ginger tea with a bit of honey naturally helps too.

I enjoy a good Indica strain but you have to do something instead of sitting around and wait for the "high" to do it's thing.
I would do reruns of Trailer Park Boys on a weekend after backyard work. Or Hangover marathon. Any comedy + weed is good. at least for me.

I am the same way. Its an awful experience. Someone said antidepressants can do that to people.

I used to smoke it in my teens and it was great! As an adult it causes debilitating anxiety.

would take a really low dose of thc and cbd oil and it would help me relax. There were no instructions though. I either took too little or too much but when I got it right I could finally relax. It would quiet my mind and I could focus on one thing at a time. It was great.

I have a really low tolerance for everything though.

If you're really interested in trying it, I would start with a low dose of something where you can really control how much you take. I like the oils/tinctures because you can measure them.

I would get mine from the rez. I liked the Mukwa brand.

I am jealous of those who can consume it and feel pleasure.

Especially when it comes to sexuality.

Just a brushing of my arm is intensely pleasurable but that is overriden by the anxiety

The marajuana shows you your ugly self magnified by 1000 and will not let you go.

All you can do is ride it out by being alone. It also makes you very slow thinking but I am aware of this state of stupidity that I am in and behave myself IE I would never drive a car

I have talked to psychologist who prescribes it and he said that a small percentage of people react this way and he has no idea why so I am trying to figure it out

I have tried both strains and it makes no difference but I can microdose it

My thoughts are cannabis opens your conscious up to your sub coinscious
where anxieties are hidden.

More studies need to be done, oddly it is now used to reduce anxiety.
Cannabis stores give no warning about effects which is wrong

I might try the suggestion of Pure Sunfarms CBD strains with no THC or extremely little (less than 1%) this summer using a glass pipe with just enough for 1 or 2 tokes a day. THC I never really cared for. But like anything if you're not doing moderation it can eventually have a negative effect on you. Similar to painkiller meds. I'd also not recommend smoking before seeing a SP unless it's a regular and perhaps she enjoys it to. I know in my mid 20s with a long term gf I'd have a small hit and would be horny af, but the odd time I tried that before starting a session it just spiked my anxiety lol. And as someone who stopped smoking it my throat feels a lot better. Extremely glad I didn't develop that smokers cough like many heavy users have.

I recently attempted to try cbd flower but sadly 95% of what you will find is stale because no one buys it which makes it not very enjoyable from a consumption perspective. Because it was so dried out and void of terps it gave me a sore throat that lasted a few days. I hope you can find something fresher than what I found.

Yeah, stale and they use the packs to make it moist. I remember when they first came out when things got legalized and a lot of folks complained how dry and brittle it was and then they started adding the packs lol. Plus I was getting headaches from smoking it which leans towards eventually having a stroke. I'll have the odd gummy here or there.

Smoking weed makes my heart race like a jack rabbit. That combined with the anxiety that comes, makes the experience not for the weak haha. So why do it? Well every now and then, once every few months, I will smoke a joint. It makes me see the world, and my life from a different perspective. It can actually be very helpful. When high, things that I didn't notice before suddenly stick out like a sore thumb. I try to use these experiences as motivation to make changes. It's also fun to watch a hockey game or a good movie high every now and then. But my days of getting high and going out to a social event are long in my past.

It took quite a while before most companies started including the humidity pack and even now not all companies use them which is kinda ridiculous. It goes a long way in helping to preserve the terps.

I find a bong or pipe hit with THC does make me realize certain things which is a nice feeling. CBD alone is more calming, but the THC high does open things up. I haven't tried a THC gummy yet, but I'll probably look into that too. I bought a preroll once and smoked half and I could feel my heart racing too fast. Thought I was gonna have a heart attack while hanging out with a friend for a coffee. Scary shit. I know 4 smokers (cigs/weed) who died a few years back from heart attacks and all where whining about headaches. About 6 years or so one time my entire left side got a bit numb and tingly too. Entire body feels better now that I stopped. I guess I could look into blood thinners also after talking with my doc, but it's not worth it for me. The odd summer puff here or there is fine.

Had some experiences of paranoia back in the 70's when I used it a lot. Who knows what was in the baggie. Don't really indulge anymore.

The THC level now compared to the 70s is a lot more. It use to be about 2% THC in the 70s unless it was laced. I think a lot of young 20 year olds will develop paranoia and heart conditions unless they smoke less and eventually stop. Prerolls have way too much in them unless people are sharing them.

I’ve only dabbled with low dose (edible) cannabis. I enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling of happiness, as well as how it enhances pleasures such as food, laughter and sex. Tho I did discover (ironically just after I saw @Vittoria. for the first time, who posted earlier in the thread that it makes her anxious etc) that if I’m under a bit of time pressure, it brought out a kind of anxiety in me id rarely experienced and I nearly had a panic attack. I learned then to save it for safe, relaxing situations and environments. Also made me a bit wary of using higher doses.
