Oh it was within the law alright

But the Canadian government under Trudeau are either very bad negotiators, or terrorist lovers, or both.

10k shouldve been enough to get a terrorist and his traitorous to Canada lawyers to fuck off

I guess in your world, out of court settlements and plea deals should not be allowed.

You guys really should find out what an out of court settlement is and why they are done. In this case, the government lawyers felt that continuing to fight the lawsuit would be much more expensive. That means that some of the brightest legal minds believed that the SC would rule the government violated Khadr's rights and that the court award would likely be much more that 10.5 million.
So you agree that,... there was no legal decision made.

The government was not proven to be guilty.

Plus,...the end result of Hair Doo taking the law into his won hands,...was 3 times the amount he gave away anyway.

So just another really expensive selfie.

Why would there be? I know you don't like it in this case but out of court settlements are part of our legal system.

Fact is government lawyers thought it would be less expensive to settle. Trudeau simply took the advice of experts.

Those are not experts, those are fucking clowns and terrorist sympathizers, that despite the fact they could've settled for much less, blew money that was not theirs and not deserved

Actually there was a supreme court decision made that found the government to be guilty. The SC didn't award damages, it left that for the lower courts. But the SCC did rule that the Canadian government violated Khadr's charter rights by participating in his interrogation knowing the process was based on torture.
