Canada Votes on Terb

Thought it might be interesting to poll the terbites this weekend to see how we as a collective, would vote.
The poll is open until Monday night and you are asked to only vote once....
We'll see how close we come to having the Terb population votes, predict the outcome of the election.

Not going to happen, I'm afraid. We're looking at a "pizza parliament" like we've never seen before. I hope the Libs will win (yeeccchh!) but they won't be getting more than 120 seats, and the NDP ain't getting 35.

When an election is so interesting, and people think that their vote will make a difference, you will find out a much higher turn out than the last few elections.

This doesn't mean anything. People can view the thread over and over again to see where the tally stands, or what others have posted, and everytime they do it bumps up the view count.

Actually, under Canada's voting system 46% would likely be a massive majority

Personally, I am getting pretty tired of this politics bullshit....
I want to vote for the party because of what they stand for, but then I find out that I was bullshitted all along...Politics....yucky!

However, with that being said, I do still like the Libs (I know, I know) and I still hate the conservatives....I do like some of what the NDP has to offer, but not all, so with only 24 hours to go I must admit I am still undecided....

You have missed the 'I'm not going to vote' section of voters out there. Its interesting that the number of people who don't vote are ignored when it is that they are making a profound statement that they think the whole system is flawed and not worth the effort to vote.

Perhaps you feel that opinions are like assholes too - since everyone has one. But you see, the fact is, everyone's entitled to them, no matter what they look like, or how they smell.

Sure a minority government will be less stable than a majority - but if history provides any guidence (and it usually does) that period of instability, while either the Liberals or the Conservatives attempt to salvage some credibility (and some power) may just produce some of the most forward looking and beneficial legislation this country has seen in a decade or two.

Strategic voting, used thoughtfully, is far from uneducated although admittedly the subtleties involved may be beyond someone with your level of political perspecuity.

The only statement they make is that they are too lazy to get their ass off the couch and get to the polling station. The options are correct, except only for the Quebec based members who may vote Bloc and don't have that option to select.
