The government also says we have to stop at stop signs, stop at red lights, not drive the wrong way on the highway or drive drunk.

You should protest all those government controls too.
Everything you listed occurs in public, now they want to control the inside of your house and mind.

You can just watch Fox News online, Stolen Valour. No one is removing your right to change the channel or watch what you want.

Might as well just say pretty soon they might just put a gun to their head and execute them if you're just going to invent more things. I know inventing things is your specialty, but there's no reason to think this is where things are headed.

The same people who did it before now. This isn't new.

I guarantee you no cable provider would be allowed to bundle Al Qaeda tv in Canada or the US either. This isn't a snowball gaining speed and your beloved USA does it too. It's been happening as long as media has existed.
I can’t think of a program that the government bans in the US? What is it?

oh, I forgot, you’re the coward. Now I understand you wanting the government to control your life, you obviously cannot make objective decisions on your own. You are the type that throw stones to make themselves feel better. I get it.

CRTC has the right to ban hate propaganda. You happen to like hate propaganda. There's bound to be conflict. You and the hate propaganda against the government.
Found the boot licker. ^
You really like being told what to do, what you can or can't do, unreal.

I'm not a fan of Fox or CNN, or CBC, or any of the mainstream outlets, but this isn't a good look for Canada.

They don't allow other racist, nazi propaganda either. Why should they treat Fox any differently?... Canadian values are better than that.

I think they make too much money for the cable companies to be banned. And if Fox was banned, the idiots would just sit around sucking their thumbs and blocking the intersections.
..and/or throwing paint and damaging property.
Oh wait, those aren't people from the "right" I'm alluding to.

We've covered this, Stolen Valour: I don't care what you think. Call me a coward, doesn't bother me. You're the one that's spent so much time writing replies trying to convince everyone you're a special forces war hero.

But I don't think you're completely full of shit, Stolen Valour... I definitely agree that you're special.

I wouldn’t think it is prohibited, but show me where the US government bands Al Qaeda TV? If you cannot, you always make baseless accusations and assumptions! The Taliban, China , Iran, N. Korea, Russia and now Canada regulates TV programming. As far as I know, probably the only thing the United States bans on public television is kitty porn , but I may be wrong…..show me Lucy! People that baselessly assume something is, or is not true is always a threat to democracy and and will follow the herd.…..hence the term sheeple. Just like your bullshit stolen valor accusation. As I have indicated before, I know your reading comprehension is challenged, but try to read the below link repeatedly, so that you get an understanding of fact. Afterward, would call yourself a person that puts out misinformation, lies, or just fucking stupid? I believe you previously indicated that you have a post graduate degree, your poor parents need a refund.

They literally banned it from existing anywhere, to the point that it had to be shut down. Have a read, Stolen Valour.

This comment will not age well, even by the end of your post, Stolen Valour.

Literally every country does, Stolen Valour. I can't think of a single country that doesn't regulate TV programming.

Do you mean like how you baselessly assumed that the US doesn't regulate TV? Remember how you commented at the beginning of your post about baseless assumptions, Stolen Valour? Yeah. Not looking so clever now.

I believe you previously indicated that you have a post graduate degree, you should get your parents a refund.
Your comment about "baseless assumptions" is coming back again to make you look even more foolish. Feel free to link up my comment saying I had a post-grad degree, Stolen Valour.

Banned by the government
Yes, Stolen Valour, banned by the government. Who else do you has the authority to regulate TV? The local PTA? Censorship Inc? No. The government.

Edit: In this case, it was primarily the Department of the Treasury, but generally speaking it's the FCC (part of the government) that regulates TV and radio in the US.

While governments regulate programming on TV, and even ban certain TV channels, I don't think Fox falls in that category of TV Channels deserving to be banned or in this case removed from TV packages. There are Canadians who still like Fox and watch the channel, so it should not be removed from cable TV packages.
