Except disagreeing with CRT means you do 2 things:
1. You disagree with reputable educators who set the school curriculum.
2. You ban ideas simply because you don't like them.
That's right, isn't it?
Instead of saying "There are various viewpoints in American history. We're going to teach them all. And if we don't like one of those viewpoints, we're going to teach it anyway and teach the students to assess it critically with reference to other, opposing points of view", you repress that entire point of view and that entire framework.
That's not a very fair and open-minded way of looking at history, is it?
1. ...as I use an example of a reputable educator of African American history. Huh. But hey, "Appeal to Authority" all you want instead of developing arguments.
2. I'm not banning any ideas. Why do you think I'm all powerful? If I'm so powerful, where do you think I am? Am I in the room with you right now saying, "I'm banning CRT"?
