LOL…Exactly. Not to mention the book banning rampage that the Right is on these days. Again Righties demonstrate their complete inability to perceive irony.

smh
Yeah, they constantly rail against cancel culture, then go out of their way to try and cancel Bud Light, Nike or Disney or who the fuck knows what's next...

You do realize what the CRTC is all about, right? It's about protecting Canadian culture and regulating broadcasters. It has every right to ban ANY international channel. And, it isn't like they're blocking you from accessing Fox. I mean, I don't subscribe to that shit show, but I can easily access content from them if I so desired. Finally, how many people still have cable/satellite subscriptions???

Basically, this is just a lot of right-wing huffing and puffing. I'd actually be very interested in how many Canadian subscribers Fox actually has. I know it's included in some packages for news channels (so you get CNN, MSNBC, CBC, BBC, RT and Fox, or some sort of other grouping), but how many people pay for it a la carte?
That and the fact they are trying to influence our democracy to suit thier ideals

The leftist hive thrives on compliance.

Anything that opposes their ideology must be terminated.

They are the real and immediate threat to our democracy......
Man, your fever dreams are hilarious.

I just want to point out, there are a long list of "conservatives" who've been shunned because they went slightly against the orthodoxy of the right. Remember how fast Tomi Lahern got smacked down because she said she supported woman's choice for abortions...

Why aren't you? You're for porn for kids, but no choice in news for adults??? Scratch a lefty, find a fascist.
This is about taking the basic rights away from LGBTQ communities including transgenders and absolutely nothing to do with child porn!!
Ohh, but if these transgenders then have to go through all the stress with such laws and then eventually offer their bodies for certain ones that buy it.......... then it becomes acceptable!!
Scratch a righty and find........oops!!

So it was okay for Fox to attack a Canadian Institute with some of the most false allegations that compromised their integrity, even though they were aware that it was blatantly false.
This Institution called Dominion Voting Machines sales were compromised when they were falsely linked with even Conspiracy theories involving the autocratic regime in Venezuela.
Canadians do not need their children to be brainwashed by such media that pedals dangerous lies!!

The terb Righties are gonna have to look elsewhere to satisfy their insatiable thirst for hate speech and disinformation.

There ‘s another thread here in the Politics Section about Fox News’ losing a defamation case for posting lies and bs but the terb Righties literally don’t give af; all they want is their daily dose of racism and conspiracy theories and Fox is their favourite author.

🤮
Sounds as if don't have to go far to get my fill of hate, I just have to listen to you.

You guys are really triggered by this, huh?

What about when DeSantis bans Critical Race Theory and Trans discussions?.... That's not the same thing, huh?
Ever notice how Gender Identity cheerleaders just cannot make an argument on a stand-alone basis? They also have to force-team with other other ideas? Be it force-teaming with LGB, whether drawing comparisons between trans and the other issues.

Why is that? Is it because the idea that a man can become a woman just because he says he is makes no inherent sense at all?

Jews generally don’t like to be associated with fascism, so you need to excuse rolfmao for being a little uncomfortable with it.

What a fucking bizarre meme.
It's like from another planet.
No. You attempting to diminish it is typical.

I see it all the time. People argue CRT is no big deal and is only taught in University-level courses and when CRT is so-called 'banned' in high schools and lower, they freak out as if it's somehow 'racist' not to include CRT.

For really, CRT has transmogrified so much from it's 90s version, the completely bastardized current version deserves the criticism it gets. It's bad-faith to argue that otherwise.

Below is an example from a high school teacher in Florida regarding what she sees. IIRC, she teaches African America History in an inner city school in Florida. Bottom line, she knows a fuck more about the issue than you ever will.

No doubt you see nothing wrong with this background victimization approach to 'tolerance' and just can't understand how others could possible disagree.

Oh.
You're a sucker who fell for Rufo's schtick and don't know what CRT is (or are actively participating in the "let's rebrand it as a political strategy" approach, in which case you aren't a sucker, you're just dishonest).

Gotcha.

Below is an example from a high school teacher in Florida regarding what she sees. She teachers - I believe - African America History in an inner city school. No doubt you see nothing wrong with this background victimization approach to 'tolerance' and just can't understand how others could possible disagree.

Holy shit, are you really this gullible?
Or do you think other people are?

Do you not even understand what you're looking at here?

...and there it is. "This is not CRT it doesn't matter". "Wait, banning CRT from schools is bad".

I guessing a black Florida high school teacher who teaches African American History Florida knows way more about the issue than some rando on the internet.

So you have even worse reading comprehension skills than I thought -- or you are just making up "banning CRT from schools is bad" from what I said.

Let's try and make it easy for you - what do you think that paper in that image is?

Okay. Let's leave out the CRT stuff and I'll just use the trans issues ban then.

But the AMA doesn't agree with you. So who's smarter - the official national organization of doctors? Or you and your buddies?

Ah yes, the American doctors..who were quite a few years behind Europe in accepting trans. It also appears that they are quite a few years behind Europe in questioning the treatment.

A Teen Gender-Care Debate Is Spreading Across Europe
Doubts have now come to the Netherlands, where the most-contested interventions for children and adolescents were developed.

The about-face by these countries concerns the so-called Dutch protocol, which has for at least a decade been viewed by many clinicians as the gold-standard approach to care for children and teenagers with gender dysphoria. Kids on the protocol are given medical and mental-health assessments; some go on to take medicines that block their natural puberty and, when they’re older, receive cross-sex hormones and eventually surgery. But in Finland, Sweden, France, Norway, and the U.K., scientists and public-health officials are warning that, for some young people, these interventions may do more harm than good.

Darn science, never settled is it? Always changing and trying to correct past errors....how inconvenient.

Except disagreeing with CRT means you do 2 things:

1. You disagree with reputable educators who set the school curriculum.

2. You ban ideas simply because you don't like them.

That's right, isn't it?

Instead of saying "There are various viewpoints in American history. We're going to teach them all. And if we don't like one of those viewpoints, we're going to teach it anyway and teach the students to assess it critically with reference to other, opposing points of view", you repress that entire point of view and that entire framework.

That's not a very fair and open-minded way of looking at history, is it?

I think it's great that science is always changing and challenging its ideas.

Show me where "European doctors" have rejected gender affirming care - as opposed to being sometimes more cautious than some American doctors. I'll wait....
