as great of a thing it was for miami to have bosh and wade....they r far from contending. they have serious no bench. we know how bosh is...he's not a dominate allstar like KG was or how Shaq was or how Duncan was. He was the best player on a bad team. Yes, Wade is a pure superstar. but with 2 guys having max contracts...there leaves room for little else and would take years to surround themselves with the right people unless they get super lucky. if miami can get sound length and size downlow and some 3 pt shooters to stretch the floor and then some defensive minded players...they wont mount to anything.
Bosh is overrated. As the Raps best player and only offensive threat all plays ran through him. Therefore, his scoring numbers are higher than they would be if he was on a team with more offensive options. Jack Armstrong once said that on a championship contending team Bosh would be the third best player. That tells us how far the Raps are from contending. Not only do they have to replace Bosh but they have to add at least one player better than Bosh.
That's almost impossible considering that American players only consider comming to Toronto if they are being way overpaid. Inner city blak guys think Toronto's a wasteland. No big rap or hip hop stars here to hang with. And the winter weather doesn't have any appeal for sure. Plus it's a foreign country to them. This may explain BC's interest in Europeans.

I'm speaking on a general consensus. Of course there are lots of non-bros who can rebound, run and athletic, but for every white dude, there are like 3 or 4 bros who are just more athletic. Is it a perception or just a fact? Yeah Manu or Dirk are tough cats, but if you look throughout history, the bros represent "most" of the best players in the league.
I was sort of thinking a long that line. If you think Toronto is pissed about Bosh leaving TO(personally I feel indifferent), how do you think Cleveland will feel? I actually feel more bad for them if in fact he is not resigning with Cleveland.
Man....I wonder what it's gonna be like if the new big 3 is true. I think the microscope will be on them constantly and will be fun to watch, but overall most teams will suffer.
In today's globalization in virtually everything, Cleveland and Toronto should declare themselves "Sister Cities" in sports.
With James and Bosh gone, they must cross promote their respective NBA doormats by giving free tickets to maintain attendance.
Cleveland Browns should play at the Roger Center instead of the Bills (which is just as pitiful, if not worse). In return, Argos should play in Cleveland, free of charge, to promote the excitement of 3-downs of CFL.
Leafs should play some games in Cleveland as well. You never know, may be the Cleveland fans are so pissed at their sports franchises that they would adopt hockey - Cleveland is pretty icy in the winter too.

I just got finished watching the Heat press conferences .. you got to think that every other team in the league is going to bring their best when playing the Heat. It won't be as easy as they seem to think. Every team will be up for them .. like when the Lakers come to town. I'm sad about Bosh leaving but happy for the dude. He would never see a championship in Toronto. If Chris cared about Toronto at all .. he could have demanded a sign and trade to help his former team out. I partially blame the MLSE group for CBs leaving for never willing to pay the extra $$ over the salary cap (see also hockey) and the Raptors head office for overpaying for players at the wrong time to satisfy an unsigned (long-term) Bosh. See Turk. I'm excited to watch Heat games next year and the Raptors too .. even though the end result will usually not be in doubt from the jump ball. Raps games should be fast and exciting and hopefully a 500 team .. making the playoffs .. albeit getting crushed by Miami in the first round.
The Heat as a team may be great but I really wonder how Chris Bosh will perform. He is going to take a pounding every night as teams will know how to counter the Heat's outside game is to pound the ball inside. With all the money tied up in Wade, James, Miller and Bosh - Chris is not going to get much help. He is averaging 70 games a year for the last year. At 230 lbs he is very light for the power forward position. I could very easily see him break down - especially in playoff games where the play is far more intense than he is used to. In Toronto he got to float around a bit - that will not be the case in Miami. He is going to have to do the tough spade work and I wonder if his body is capable of going up against the likes of Howard every night.
It will happen. Bosh misses a good amount of games every season due to injuries & he's not getting any younger. Wade has also missed some time due to injuries & again, he's not getting younger. These guys will also need some time off & who knows the quality of talent that will come off the bench to relieve those guys?
I can just imagine Bosh beginning to lose it & start screaming at his teammates when things aren't going his way, like he did a few times during his stay in Toronto.
Dude Bosh is 26 and Wade is 28 they are in their prime.
If both were say 32 or 33 you might have a point but seeing as they are so young expect some major minutes from these two.
Not at them, but at the rest of the team. Whoever they'll be. I heard Derek Fisher might wind up with the Heat.
Bosch is a fragile player who's taken a beating these past couple of years. Didn't Wade miss a good part of last season (or the one before that) to injury?
This will be good for the longevity of their careers. Lighter minutes, the offensive load will be split, and less big bodies leaning on them. In fact the majority of the bodies leaning on them will be of the bikini variety.
Lile I said previously, he'd be stupid not to join Wade & Lebron. I think it's once in a lifetime that 3 star players all in their prime, and that have a friendship, are free agents at the same time and can join one team that happens to have the cap space to accommodate them. A true perfect storm that people should come to appreciate, not grumble about.
Doesn't Bosh like he just won the jackpot on all this? The guy can't stop smiling and laughing during the introduction on stage. When you sit back and soak it in, he's playing with 2 of the best players in the league! He's probably thinking he's the most luckiest guy in the NBA. Although he's like 2nd fiddle to James/Wade and I'm sure he doesn't mind it one bit. James has a new kingdom, but Bosh found his new pit...lol. After 7 years of hard work and going nowhere...I'm happy for the guy.
What happends if the Heat dont win a championship in the first two seasons? Of course the supporting cast and the bench will get the criticism lol With these guys its everybody elses fault but their own. I would laugh if people say the reason they dont win is because the supproting cast wasnt any good.

miami obviously have the 3 talents there. they will obviously be a good team. the question is will they have enough for a supporting cast. they have maybe enough to pay 2 players around the mid-level exception range. actually i think its slightly less. but its very hard for a lot of people to take minimum money unless they r in their mid to late 30s. example. they want to get haslem. but how in the world will he take about 1 mil when teams out there are offering him 5 times that? and with multiple years?.
