Want a stark difference in the two? Jews never attacked the Nazis, while Gaza/Hamas attacked and essentially declared war. I don't recall Polish Jews attacking German soil and killing everything in sight while taking hostages.
What sucks even more is that there are complete schmucks with a few lunatics thrown in currently running things in the Knesset...and their rage has barely subsided in almost 2 years. I sadly predicted the destruction of Gaza on Oct 8th, because I knew damn well every right wing Israeli party's head exploded in anger over this, partially over their own failures and especially their intelligence failures.
That all said, Israel needs to stop this immediately on all fronts. Gaza is destroyed, enough already. All Israel is doing at this point is ensuring the conflation of anti-zionism to anti-semitism disappears completely and turning itself into a cartoon-like monster. Then again, I'm a lefty Jew that wanted a 2 state solution forever....all of these failures, death and destruction have broken my heart. I fear we'll never see true peace there in my lifetime, and I'm 52. That's how pessimistic I am now.
