anywhere i want;)
Lmao really ? Yes I do know what hypothetical means. There is no need for your arrogance. If they can blow up the twin towers you really think they cant build something to blow up the cn tower? Come on even you cant be that naiive. Anyways ive got to start my day.. goodday GENTLEMAN ;)

He said IF the CN tower was attacked, thats a hypothetical, not a wish.
Do you even know what hypothetical means??

Its a total moot point anyways, because its next to impossible to blow up a structure like the CN tower and make it crash to earth

They still wont get it.

Their first kneejerk reaction will be "not all muslims are terrorists, so stop being so Islamophobic"
To be fair it's not in response to the tragic events but the backlash of comments that follows.

If a Catholic church sex scandal came out and people were saying all priests were pedos that too would be wrong.

No, because Twin towers are completely different structures then CN tower.
IMO the only way to bring it down is flying an airplane into it, and even that might not work

I have been watching the news and this thread. I am still at a loss for words.

This is our reality now. More and more then what I ever knew as a child. I find myself wondering what I would do if I was on a street and a truck came barrelling down to kill as many people as possible? Or what I do in a packed movie theatre, as I go often, and a gun man started shooting up the place. I have not been anywhere near any of these types of events that have happen, and living in Canada, we feel somewhat safer. But I still wonder and worry. I find I am more watchful at the movies and even know different escape routes for the ones I go to. I know I can't be the only one who thinks like this now. It is scary.

Kids can't go to a concert without being dragged into the middle of a war they don't know about or have any involvement in is sickening. If I am worried about where I go in my life, just imagine what the next generation of kids is going to be thinking now and when they get older. I won't go to downtown events like PRIDE (well that is for other reason as well) but I won't go to many events now. It will happen here. Maybe not the CN Tower, but it will happen here. It is just a matter of time.

Never used the word islamophobia..... go ahead and search.

Just explaining to you why people might disagree with your comments.

If this discussion had stuck to how horrible the bomber and accomplices are, how terrible the event was I probably would have just agreed and moved on.

But vilifying millions of people doesn't make sense.... in the Trayvon Martin case.... I wouldn't have said all Latinos are vigilantes..... in Sandy Hook and the black church shooting.... I wouldn't say all white teens a psychos looking to shoot places up.... in the beheading on bus out west.... I wouldn't say all Asians are dangerous (unless behind the wheel of a car :) )

What you fail to realize Frank is if even 1% of all muslims in Europe and North-America turn radical, we have a HUGE problem on our hands. Please tell me you understand that not all muslims have to be terrorists for complete chaos to break out.

Europe has 18 million muslims now (1% of 18 mill = 180,000).
North-America about 4 million (1% of 4 mill = 40,000).

And before you say 1% would never turn radical, you dont have crystal ball and you dont know what the future brings. What we do know however is muslim terrorist attacks on Europe and NA were virtually unheard of 20 years ago, now its the new normal. Imagine if muslim population doubles 10 to 20 years from now??

this may be the only thing we agree on...

Much like the comment that sweetiepie referred to which you dismissed the key word is "if"

So to prevent this "if" that you have proposed I think there has to be a political/social change which won't come stereotyping and building walls. Hopefully that change can come from working with the other 99%.

I've got no problem with the post you just made.

BTW you are right I don't have a crystal ball but typically speaking what you are describing is one the most extreme side making it least likely to happen from a probability standpoint. I am not dismissing your prediction just saying that it is fairly unlikely. It would be like flipping a bunch of coins and getting all heads.

Does it have a role in telecommunications? Sorry for the tangent. Just curious.

Yes, massive! Television, FM, AM and cellphone transmitters.
I remember reading somewhere that TV and radio stations have backup emergency transmitters, so it will never knock them out completely

That's what I thought. So it could be a target. Last time I was there about 5 or 6 years ago you had to walk through a bomb sniffing device.
