I briefly listened to a Smerconish quip on the HB issue. He opined that HB was investigated and busted essentially for media / political reasons - in order to demonstrate that the DoJ was actually "doing something" about Hunter. And that he got a light hit for the reason that no one really wants to put the president's kid in jail - apart from you, I guess.
And there are those little facts like - Hunter is a dude in his 50's with no criminal record. And Hunter paid the $2M tax debt up front. That makes a WORLD of difference between him and some Black rapper who goes down on the same gun charges but already has a vast rap sheet at the age of 25, incl violent rapes.
All this stuff would be happening, even if Hunter wasn't the president's kid. But hey! - you love your little conspiracy theories and that involves ignoring facts and people that are inconvenient, right?
