Not at all my friend but I'm trying hard to save you from putting your foot in your mouth!!! ;)
You might be squeezing too hard. Let some blood flow to your brain and other parts of your body. ;)

FYI, I don't watch Fox News. I don't watch CNN or MSNBC. I watch a mixture of local and major network news (CBS, ABC and NBC down here.) as well as read. I don't follow any politics on Twitter.

What don't you understand about the people choosing Biden but trump refusing to accept that? You just said that is what's supposed to happen. He doesn't deserve another chance to make elections irrelevant.

Are you trying to contradict yourself by saying he should be able to run again and be given a chance to try to break the rules again?
All I'm saying is that if the people want to elect him then they should have the freedom to do so.
What's the problem with that?

The problem with that is that there are already provisions in the constitution to prevent certain unsavory types of people to be able to because they are dangerous to the democracy. trump qualifies as one of those.

He already attempted to overthrow the 2020 election and not adhere to the peaceful transition of power, the first president in history to do so.

What guarantees are there that he won't do so again but be successful this time? The stakes are too high to even consider putting him on the ballot.

Looks like a whole lot of my more recent posts on this thread vanished.
That's a shame.

Do you believe the President should be elected directly by the people and if so how?
In an election. How else would a president get elected in a democracy?

That's not an answer.
Right now, as you know, the people don't elect the President of the US directly.
They elect electors from their state who then do the actual election.
There are also Constitutional rules about eligibility to hold the office and there are state rules for how to be on the ballot for the 50 individual state elections of the electors.
Does that count as "elected directly by the people" to you and if not, why not?
What would you change?

Or do you think the system as is makes sense and therefore if someone disqualifies themselves, it is correct they are disqualified?

If Trump is the GOP candidate, then put Trump's name on every ballot, in every state. Let the people decide if they want Trump as president, or not??
So you are against the states running their own elections, then?
Ballot eligibility for Federal elections should be run by the Federal government and States should be cut out?

Yes, that way you would prevent a loser like Shenna Bellows, the secretary of state of Maine, from arbitraly taking Trump off the Maine ballot.

"Arbitrarily".
I take it you didn't find her published opinion on why she did that legally convincing?
Which parts do you think she was lying about?

But cool - Federal run elections for Federal positions.
Something we agree on.

Somehow I doubt you would want to follow that through to the eradication of the electoral college. Am I wrong?

Bellows isn't even a fricken lawyer----LMAO I can't take this Bellows loser seriously!!

Also, Bellows is a bias Dem supporter!!
Does the position of Secretary of State have to be a lawyer?

And, since you seem opposed to it, can only Republicans be elected Secretary of State or do people running for the position have to be non-partisan?
If they are non-partisan, how do you enforce that?

I'm curious.
