I didn’t realize that being acquainted with someone was a prerequisite for feeling empathy for them. Good to know.
I mean, it’s possible, but there’s no reason to think that at this point. The older brother knew the heat was on and ran for the hills, this kid was still going to school, living his life like normal. You’d think if he was involved, he’d have run too. All just conjecture either way. In any case, he didn’t deserve to be abducted and, let’s face it, probably killed.
Maybe both brothers were involved. Could be similar to this case.

The kid is 14 and 6' already, I'm assuming he didn't go quietly with his abductors. He may have even escaped, we don't know. It's great that he made it out alive.
