WHO IS NOLA BROWN? Nola is a mystery Nola is trouble. And Nola is supposed to be dead.
Her body was found on a plane that mysteriously fell from the sky as it left a secret military base in the Alaskan wilderness. Her commanding officer verifies she's dead. The US government confirms it. But Jim "Zig" Zigarowski has just found out the truth: Nola is still alive. And on the run.

Zig works at Dover Air Force Base, helping put to rest the bodies of those who die on top-secret missions. Nola was a childhood friend of Zig's daughter and someone who once saved his daughter's life. So when Zig realizes Nola is still alive, he's determined to find her. Yet as Zig digs into Nola's past, he learns that trouble follows Nola everywhere she goes.

Nola is the U.S. Army's artist-in-residence-a painter and trained soldier who rushes into battle, making art from war's aftermath and sharing observations about today's wars that would otherwise go overlooked. On her last mission, Nola saw something nobody was supposed to see, earning her an enemy unlike any other, one who will do whatever it takes to keep Nola quiet.

Together, Nola and Zig will either reveal a sleight of hand being played at the highest levels of power or die trying to uncover the US Army's most mysterious secret-a centuries-old conspiracy that traces back through history to the greatest escape artist of all: Harry Houdini.

Five thousand years ago the world fell victim to the rise of history's first great superpower: a massive empire based on the expansion of trade backed by overwhelming military might, under the leadership of a legendary figure who was feared and worshiped as a god. Indeed, this ancient king's legacy left a lasting imprint upon history, mythology, and religion, eclipsed only by the appearance of Jesus Christ three thousand years later. The Antichrist is dead, but his story is not over. Through an extensive analysis of archaeological evidence, ancient mythological accounts, and biblical and occult predictions, The Second Coming of the Antichrist reveals that story.

I’m currently reading a book called The Super Human Mind: Free the genius in your brain

It’s quite fascinating! So far I’ve read about different types of synesthesia and super abilities like being able to recall exactly what happened on any given date of your life, creating master pieces in music or the arts or even math geniuses. All of who discovered their new abilities after sustaining life threatening injuries to the head. Now scientists believe that every human has a hidden potential within them and they are trying to figure out how we can unlock it naturally. So far they say that 10 thousand hours of practice will make you a prodigy in anything. However I believe they already discovered how to do this using MK Ultra. But that’s another topic entirely.

Why we need to stop wasting public funds on education

Despite being immensely popular--and immensely lucrative―education is grossly overrated. In this explosive book, Bryan Caplan argues that the primary function of education is not to enhance students' skill but to certify their intelligence, work ethic, and conformity―in other words, to signal the qualities of a good employee. Learn why students hunt for easy As and casually forget most of what they learn after the final exam, why decades of growing access to education have not resulted in better jobs for the average worker but instead in runaway credential inflation, how employers reward workers for costly schooling they rarely if ever use, and why cutting education spending is the best remedy.

Caplan draws on the latest social science to show how the labor market values grades over knowledge, and why the more education your rivals have, the more you need to impress employers. He explains why graduation is our society's top conformity signal, and why even the most useless degrees can certify employability. He advocates two major policy responses. The first is educational austerity. Government needs to sharply cut education funding to curb this wasteful rat race. The second is more vocational education, because practical skills are more socially valuable than teaching students how to outshine their peers.

Romantic notions about education being "good for the soul" must yield to careful research and common sense―The Case against Education points the way.

Sitting in class, Robin can't help but stare at Javan. Javan is one of the most popular, charismatic young men in her high school senior class; A young man who seems to be out of her league. A sexy, black young man, that is. Robin already knows that she is a "nerd" and figures that there's no way that a popular jock like him would ever be into her.

However, one day after class her heart skips a beat when he approaches her, asking if she'd be interested in working on the class project with him. She readily agrees to it and tries to maintain her composure, knowing that it hasn't helped that he has suggested they go out on a 'study date' all by themselves to talk more about the project.

After the date ends, they are left in the dark parking lot; Their mutual emotions running wild as Javan finally acknowledges that he is all alone with his secret crush. A nerdy, light-skinned girl with glasses that he has had a crush on for a long time. A nerdy girl that he would love to share his well-endowed gift with.

However, little do Javan and Robin know that once their next date comes and they work on the class project at Robin's house, there will be no way to stop Robin's mom from tempting herself into feeding her fetish; A fetish that is dark and also happens to be long...A fetish that will lead to things that the three of them never could have imagined...

Anyone else guilty of buying a bunch of books and reading 10 at a time?

If you like non-fiction legal/crime related books, I'd recommend "The Brain Defense" by Kevin Davis. Its based off the 1991 Weinstein case which occurred in New York and explores the issue of brain injuries used as a criminal defense in court. Great read for those who are interested in the intersection between medicine and the law. :)

In The Lucifer Effect, the award-winning and internationally respected psychologist, Philip Zimbardo, examines how the human mind has the capacity to be infinitely caring or selfish, kind or cruel, creative or destructive. He challenges our conceptions of who we think we are, what we believe we will never do - and how and why almost any of us could be initiated into the ranks of evil doers.

At the same time he describes the safeguards we can put in place to prevent ourselves from corrupting - or being corrupted by - others, and what sets some people apart as heroes and heroines, able to resist powerful pressures to go along with the group, and to refuse to be team players when personal integrity is at stake.

Using the first in-depth analysis of his classic Stanford Prison Experiment, and his personal experiences as an expert witness for one of the Abu Ghraib prison guards, Zimbardo's stimulating and provocative book raises fundamental questions about the nature of good and evil, and how each one of us needs to be vigilant to prevent becoming trapped in the 'Lucifer Effect', no matter what kind of character or morality we believe ourselves to have.

The Lucifer Effect won the William James Book Award in 2008.

As they say, you always remember your first. I remember the first time I lost my virginity; It was a great experience. As a child my parents had a housekeeper named Ms. Jones, who was an urbane and motherly African-American woman who was in her 40’s during my childhood. I remembered when I was 8 years old she came to our house and we all celebrated her 40th Birthday together. Ms. Jones had short hair, ebony skin, an average body for her age, and I always remember her wearing sweaters and jeans or during summer she would wear dresses. I remember one summer as a kid I joked with her and looked up her knee-high dress, to which she yelped in surprise, before shooing me away and covering herself up. I got a look up her skirt, and that was the first time I had felt a stir in my crotch.

Fast forward to after my 18th Birthday, when Ms. Jones was 50 years old. She still looked good for her age, but had aged literally and figuratively in the ten years I had known her. That’s not to minimize her; She still would be considered a sexy mature woman. I suppose I should have seen our tryst coming; A couple times in my teen years she had accidentally walked in the bathroom and saw more of me than she ever had before, and didn't exactly rush out when it happened. From there, our feelings for each other intensified, until what we have now.

Bonus story included after the Ms. Jones story, as well...

Jarvon, a 19-year-old black guy, had just started a new job at the store. One of the assistant managers was Ruby — a white woman in her fifties who Jarvon thought was pretty good-looking. Ruby had a great body, too, but she was extremely quiet and she seemed rather uptight. Nobody who worked at the store knew quite what to make of her. One night, after the store closed and all the other employees left, Ruby asked Jarvon to come into the back room with her because she needed to show him something. What happened next came as a complete shock to him. But would he give his boss what she really needed?

For a decade, Suburban Nation has given voice to a growing movement in North America to put an end to suburban sprawl and replace the last century's automobile-based settlement patterns with a return to more traditional planning. Founders of the Congress for the New Urbanism, Andres Duany and Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk are at the forefront of the movement, and even their critics, such as Fred Barnes in The Weekly Standard, recognized that "Suburban Nation is likely to become this movement's bible." A lively lament about the failures of postwar planning, this is also that rare book that offers solutions: "an essential handbook" (San Francisco Chronicle).

This tenth anniversary edition includes a new preface by the authors.

Knowledge is power. Arm yourself. A global chaos and mayhem has extended across the nations. All was blamed on the Middle East Conflict. Yet now a different manifestation has emerged, affirming this was never a local issue about Palestine or of land occupation: Israel holds less than 0.5% of land in Arabia. There was never any land issue across the nations, yet the mayhem extended globally. Thereby, was this conflict wrongly accounted - or was it designed to erupt as it has – and for what purposes? Exposing the long suppressed and omitted issues will cause intense debating; it may even change your views. The issues of Palestine and its global impacts are now exposed as never before – historically, theologically and politically, of both ancient and modern times. The big questions: • Who Are “Palestinians”? Why was this name transferred from Jews to Arabs after 2,000 years in 1964? Why were the 3000 year names of Hebrew towns changed to West Bank in 1950? Was King David of Bethlehem, or Jesus of Nazareth, as Palestinians? What was the message of the Dead Sea Scrolls that was hidden from the world? • Chamberlain, Hitler and Hajj Amin: Why did Britain appoint Hajj Amin as Grand Mayor of Jerusalem in contradiction of the Balfour Mandate? Was Britain’s division of Palestine and her White Paper Policy legal or crimes against humanity? • Who are Arabs? A historical enquiry traces the origins of the Arab group and their first emerging. The issue becomes controversial when the people called as Arabs are connected with Canaan, Abraham, Ishmael, Israel, Judea and Jesus Christ. • Today’s Global Refugee Crisis: Why are Millions of Christians and Arabs fleeing their ancient homelands? Why were no ruling conditions placed on the new Arab states – and how does it impact all nations today? Is today’s chaos and mayhem circumstantial or designed? Whatever your views of the modern world’s most controversial issue, this book will arm you with long suppressed and de-classified archives, exposing a host of deceptions created to cover great errors of the 20th century. These have backfired and plunged humanity into chaos and mayhem. Causes and effects apply. “Philistine-To-Palestine” is presented with quotes and interviews from the widest range of credible sources. From Scholars, Theologians, Clerics, Lawyers, Presidents, Kings, Ottoman Sultans, Arabian Emirs, Ambassadors, Authors, Talk Show Hosts, Human Rights Advocates and Bloggers. A 3,000 year population survey of Palestine and 40 historical images expose the great deceptions of the modern world that have come to haunt all nations. Perhaps we are driving on the wrong lane of this highway? Knowledge is power. Arm yourself.

If you believe the news, today's America is plagued by an epidemic of violent hate crimes.

But is that really true?

In Hoax, Professor Wilfred Reilly examines over one hundred widely publicized incidents of so-called hate crimes that never actually happened. With a critical eye and attention to detail, Reilly debunks these fabricated incidents—many of them alleged to have happened on college campuses—and explores why so many Americans are driven to fake hate crimes. We're not experiencing an epidemic of hate crimes, Reilly concludes—but we might be experiencing an unprecedented epidemic of hate crime hoaxes.
