Great news for common sense. 292% tariffs are ridiculous and the present USA administration has to got to realize that such tariffs will hurt their own suppliers who supply the parts to Bombardier. A win / win for all.
They are gonna build them in Alabama so planes sold in the USA will be considered US product.

Airbus acquires 50.01 % of the Bomardier C Series programs that is expected to be approved later this year. No doubt if the tariffs had stood, then countries like the UK, Germany, France and Canada would have imposed similar tariffs on American planes.
Again, this ruling makes sense, but Boeing has lost out on the F-35 Fighter Jets that Canada has cancelled in response to this unfair tariffs imposed on the C Series Jets.

Why not? Boeing owns Lear, they have lobbyists, governors and senators that all lobbied the ITC, they have powerful Airline CEOs as well and world leaders from several countries. Ultimately I think it was the EU that expressed its concern to the ITC that stopped this nonsense as the ITC new that there were serious grounds for the EU To slap major tariffs on Boeings 787 which was dumped and caused BILLIONS in harm to Airbus.
