I'm gonna list the problems with our starting pitchers:
Shoemaker: Turned 33 two months ago. Injury prone. Had 1 good year in 2014 and thats it.
Buchholz: Free agent. 35 years of age. Doubtful Jays will resign him.
Kay: Had 1 good start in his debut against Tampa, otherwise unproven.
Thornton: Some good starts, some really horrible starts. Up in the air if he can stick around in 2020.
Waguespack: Showed some promise that he could be a #5 starter, but also up in the air if he can ever become a ML pitcher.
Sean Reid-Foley: Also big question marks whether or not he can stick around in 2020, or if he'll even make the team out of ST.
Font: Showed promise. But is he best utilized as a starter, or as a reliever?? We dont know yet.
Borucki: Had a good rookie year in 2018. Can he stay healthy?? Also unproven so far.
Sorry to say, but this cast of guys doesnt inspire a whole lot of confidence in me.
Way too many question marks
