Sad. I found Black's service was excellent and their online service easy to use.
I feel bad for workers in retail stores, but I have found using Amazon to be the best. I don't have to put up with annoying or ignorant sales staff and I don't have to spend time travelling to the store only to find out they are out of stock.

We still get paper flyers (when it is actually delivered) to our home. I was told by the advertisers that there are old people in my neighborhood who don't know how to use a computer so they want paper flyers.

Wonder what happens when we all get 3D printers?

I just googled Rogers video stores and didnt realize they closed up shop a couple of years ago.

I think travel agencies will go way of the do-do bird as well

Sort of sad to see them go. Honestly, when they rebranded at the end of last year i was surprised that they spent so much money on something that didn't fundamentally update their business model.

I hope Henry's will continue to do well. I've always found their staff to be much more knowledgable and personable than the staff at Blacks.

Give it another 20 years and those flyers will disappear a lot. It'll never 100% disappear, but it'll sink a lot.

I get those huge bundles of flyers too and aside from a few flyers I may skim, I trash it. If I really need to look for something I'll check the store's online flyer. I get a weekly email from Red Flag Deals recapping the key store flyers with links which makes it even easier.

The funny thing is that many of the elderly in our neighborhood can't read English. I guess they look at the pictures and prices. Almost all of them still pay cash at the checkout and go to live human tellers (not ATM's) at the bank.

I was thinking maybe parcel home delivery services will be replaced with drones (if Amazon gets its way).

Physical newspapers have also been dying a slow death. When I was a kid I use to make a few bucks delivering newspapers to homes.
