I hate everything Apple when it comes to rights management, etc.. But, I will not touch this playbook without atleast 3g.

For the time being, I sold my ipad and bought a samsung... Kinda miss the ios apps, but it's nice having true websurfing with flash if need be... Even if I mostly despise flash for web content.

Oh and I don't know if this is public yet. Last I checked, it was still rumored but take it from me. The Playbook is shipping without BBM, in addition to no native email, calendar and contacts app.

i finally have the playbook in my hand, and it is incredible

right now just downloading all the apps and than ill see if terb chat can work on it

also RIM is going to release an app for email and BBM for the playbook

i can get into terb chat and see all the convos but i cant seem to figure out how to reply
best thing is that its fast and i get actual microsoft word,excel,powerpoint apps for free
quick update there r email apps such as gmail, aol, yahoo, hotmail pre installed

Great. How about media viewing such as DVD vob files or divx files, etc , plays good and looks good ? Do give more feedback when you can and TIA.

What version did you get? 32GB? 64GB?

i got the 16bg version. from playing around with the camera, it is very good quiality but it is horiible in low light situation, something my dslr can handle a lot better due to the sensor. but can be a handy companion to record videos

as for battery life on near full charge (93%) with full brightness and wifi on and having tons of apps open it lasts me like 4.5-5 hours. however the general battery charger given takes along time for it to fully charge

also the power button seems tricky to hit because of a deep depression design, need long nails lol

i have now figured out how to chat on terb chat!

streaming videos:

im able to play all flash/java video files (all major porn sites as well!) but playing divx, vob files are out of the question, i tried downloading the codec onto playbook doesnt recognize it

the back camera is 5 mp, the front camera is 3 mp. again same situation with the video, not good in low light situation, but if theres ample light you'll get a good shot.

from both images you can see that during upload it is very pixalated however when i viewed the pics on the playbook and on my HD monitor and TV it shows a crisp non-pixalated pic
