Or in otherly words, why not have faith and trust in crypto-coin and just keep your money there?
To quote Terry Jones, because it's fucking financial suicide, that's why.

People are easily duped, crypto is back-stopped by tax havens. Huge red flag for me since I'm not rich enough to be in one.

She just can't stay out of trouble.

every market has "assets" with greater fool willing to pay for it, be stocks, crypto, fine art, etc. and thus will be left holding the bag.

eg fundamentallly, is Aaron's Jude's 62nd home run ball worth $1.5 million ? ... is X piece of fine art fundamentally worth $10 million? it's because someone is willing to pay for it .

Although I am all for a currency which circumvents all government red tape and can flow across borders, crypto is NOT the way to achieve it.

We should admit that it is a massive scam that might benefit a few and move on....it is nothing special anymore.....
In fairness…. It’s not all “a scam”. Some of its a pyramid scheme too.

It's like riding a bicycle. There is those who have fallen and those who will. Besides that most rides are fun ;)

I've based my entire career on being a dumbass, where can I buy Dogecoin?

Lindsey Lohan is still adored by millions. Even so, she just can't help being a horrible human being.

At least I knew where Lana Rhoades was coming from with her silly NFTs.

Bitcoin up almost 100% in 5 five months.
ya too bad that dude didn't bet me ...I said I'd be willing to lower the threshold if he was willing to lower the timeframe

and I'll add many tech stocks are up large

dollar cost average , can't time bottom/time the market , it's Time in the market, not timing the market ...hope you guys realize that by now

Bitcoin is on a tear lately because of the ETF. More money will flood in from investors. It could reach well over $100,000 in the next couple years, with the next halving.

3 years ago when I didn't know any better, I used to watch YouTube Bitcoin broadcasts from these self claimed crypto experts. They used to broadcast from their $ 20 million dollar Dubai condos, their Lambos, their lavish trading rooms with a few employees and iMacs. Most of those YouTubers are gone now, but the ones that are left are broadcasting from their backyard, shirtless, in their garage, unshaven and haven't had any sun for months. I've never felt so stupid, these weren't crypto expert traders, they were/are all salesman selling click bait and hoping you'll watch their videos on YouTube. During the bear market they kept selling their Hopium and telling us to buy more and eventually the market will correct. I go on YouTube daily and like to glance the crypto titles: Bitcoin to $ 50k ? Bitcoin to $100k ? Bitcoin to $ 500k ? Bitcoin to go back down to $ 15k ? Note all the titles usually have question marks at the end and the so called Bitcoin experts always predict that Bitcoin might go up, or it might go down. DUH , was I a sucker for 2 years !

That's the dream - get more retail money in.
There is a reason Tether is making massive loans to spike the price now in the run up to the "inevitable ETF approval in January".

The narrative this time is institutional money.

Smart money such as BlackRock have been, of course , buying during the downturn [1]. Unless there l some black-swan event like WW3, the bottom is likely in when the largest asset manager in the world starts buying. Tbh, would not surprised if there was an attempted coordinated attack to try to take Binance down prior to the ETF approval (can't let the China man reap the benefits, too, lol).

Seems artificial, much like Crypto.....
and you think those dollars are "real"?

gosh, wake up. if i can sell "artificial" things to enable me to buy "real" things, does it matter ?

since we are on this forum, guys and gals sell "artificial" services (talk, sex , etc ) to in order to buy "real" things ,you're gonna criticize them on that ?

BTC is up 141% and ETH is up 77% the past year. I'd consider that skyrocketing. Will it continue into 2024 who the fuck knows. The last time BTC skyrocketed it started late Sept20 and started to fall late Mar22, an 18 month span.

so far crypto is just following its 4-yr cycle despite macro economic headwinds. crypto winter is over and thus the crypto bear market is behind us (as evidenced by smart money like BlackRock accumulating during the downturn).

there are usually significant corrections prior to the Bitcoin halving (April 2024); wouldn't be surprised if goes down like 30k again (approximately 30 percent down from here) and then of course you'll hear the crypto skeptics / haters come in and say it's all gonna go to zero, lol.

Fed holds rates steady and informs of rate cuts in 2024 and lots of bears covering their shorts/getting liquidated at 2:01pm EST ! Bears were in control the last couple of days and some coins dropped 10 - 15% . . . .
