What people are looking for, when they are a President or a Governor picking those who are going to be their closest advisors are competent, qualified people that they trust. So they are usually selected from people they have worked with and know, rather than at large.

I have a hard time believing that there are many who become Governor who look around at their friends and find only couch potatos and highschool dropouts. People at that level usually have a long professional association working with others of a similar caliber. They have friends who run businesses, have their own political careers, etc., and those people usually wind up in their cabinets.

That Romney's circle doesn't include any qualified women...
How did Sarah Palin ended up being the Governor of Alaska and got selected as potential VP?

Look, I was just correcting the misinformation from anynym that it would have been illegal for him to hire women he knew into his cabinet.

The perception he left was that he didn't know any.

Perhaps the fact, not perception, was that he did not know anyone that is qualified. Binders on the way to help! Lol.

I thought it was hilarious when he said it, purely because of Fairbanks. I had no idea it blew up so much online.

Another LIE by Mitt last night exposed!

CBS NEWS did a fact check on this 'binders of women' Mitt the Twat claimed he had full, of ladies he could hire. CBS contacted the woman in charge of hiring in Massachusetts who was working with Mitt when he was Governor and she said Mitt had NO binders, folders, files of any women to hire as Mitt said in Debate! She said what Mitt said was a TOTAL LIE!.....

So he worded his argument poorly, so what? Look at how big an uproar that "act of terror" segment caused. I swear, people intentionally misinterpret what others are saying.

I'm more concerned by the fact that he purposefully went out looking for qualified women, rather than the most qualified individuals.

AGAIN? Nope he tried to make us think he initiated it. He's a Harvard Law grad, he should have a better control of the english language than that, especially when he has spent days preparing for this debate. He didn't go out to them, to these groups they came to him.

He also stepped in it with the 'act of terror claim'. You'd think his own fact checkers would have got that right, as it was in print and video, but NOOOOO. i wonder who somme are working for now.

I still think it's a stretch. It was poor wording, not a poor argument. Unlike his "women want jobs that allow them to go home and cook for the family on time" argument. I think that is much more damaging.

We'll see what kind of legs either have. The look on Romney's face when POTUS and Crowley called him on it was priceless, kinda 'dead dog on my roof' look.

I think he made up the whole story because he thought it would sound good, but it has backfired in his face.

Now he is stuck with either admitting he lied about the whole thing, or trying to explain why he doesn't know any qualified women himself.

He does seem to have a bit of Yogi Berra in him.

I loved his face when he was trying to get an answer out of Obama about the "Act of Terror" bit. He looked righteously pissed. Until it blew up in his face...lol.

looks like the two main parties, and the media have done a good job of distracting the public from the real issues that matter.

Already dealt with this before in another of your threads, so reposting it here won't change things.

I notice neither you not Schniffie, posted a link to the actual poll, so we could see how the questions were framed and knowing how you and he are know for a twisted view of the truth and reality, perhaps you could post a link. i tried to find one, but couldn't find one find one without putting on my waders.

the hobby needs more capitalism
Mitty offered flexible schedules as the solution for working women. You know, so we can get home and cook dinner and get back to the laundry…
That's stupid of him. Most women these days don't know how to do either.

No flex time for them! Back to the office, they go!
