I think overall Billy Graham's legacy is a positive one. Certainly would not label him as a religious nut job. I'm glad his suffering is over. RIP.

Made it to 99 years that's a pretty good run. Seems like he was one of the less strident polarizing preachers.

Here
I dont know why you guys are so down on the man. I think out of evangelists out there he was the one true servant of his god. He lived quite simply, never any scandals, adviser to many presidents, incredible motivational speaker, and did alot of good with the money he made. Regardless of what you may think about his beliefs he lives as pure a life as I think a man can, we should all be that good

Harry Truman didn't like Graham. After Graham's first and only
visit to Truman in the Whitehouse he did not speak to Graham
again for years.

After Hugh Hefner another American icon left us. Both
had profoundly influenced people's view of life in their
own way.

Directly above the center of the earth
Dead?? I didn't know he was still alive.

The afternoon guy on CBC Radio 1 said that many years ago when he was just starting out he had the chance to meet Mr. Graham. And it was in the '80s when Jimmy Swaggart, and Jim Bakker the minister of the Praise The Lord Church were embroiled in scandal he said he asked Mr. Graham what he thought of those guys. And he quoted Graham saying 'He wanted to throw his shoe at the TV set.' They said he was the first to use mass media to reach the people, long before the internet.

It reminds me of an old joke about Tammie Faye Bakker, the wife of Jim Bakker, who caked on her makeup 'to be attractive to Jim'.
What happened when Tammie Faye removed her makeup? - They found Jimmy Hoffa.

i went to his crusade. He said come on down and be saved

I watched as so many mindless people went down to drink the kool aid

Presidents listened to the fucktard and set foreign policy based on biblical principal

no wonder the middle east is so fucked

Which fucktard are we supposed to follow?

One less zealot in the world can only make it a better place

This ^^^

Allow me to add:

1. Premarital sex is a sin.
2. Anyone who doesnt repent is going to hell.
3. The next apocalypse is upon us and God is going to rain down comets, asteroids and giant hailstones on our heads.

On and on it goes. Good riddance.
