Why would you think people believe Gutfeld is a journalist?

There's nothing about his demeanor and delivery that suggests that he is a journalist.
We can say Gutfeld is a humorist and commentator. We have been trying for some time to tell you all commentators aren't journalists.

Would you rather have Stephen Colbert deliver political commentary on a comedy/talk show?
Is that a better venue than a cable news network?
Yes, I believe there are a lot of people who watch Fox and think he is a journalist. I mean, he works for Fox News...There is a serious lack of media literacy in the US (and to a lesser extent in Canada) where people don't know the difference between a columnist and reporter, between an Op-Ed and a news article. I have seen Jesse Waters and other be called journalists (including Jessica Tarlov). You know better. You are more well-versed in things. But I'd wager that a staggering number of Fox viewers think the panel shows like Fox and Friends is journalism.

Now, as for Stephen Colbert, I think significantly more people know he is a comedian, and while he does political humour, they can understand what he says might be accurate but it includes embellishment and satire to make things funnier. But, the thing about Colbert is that he makes fun of everyone, from Trump to Biden. I do not watch Fox at all (well, the occasional clip here and there) but I don't think I've ever heard them make fun of Trump or Vance. Now, I'm not saying Colbert doesn't have partisanship in his show, he obviously does not like Trump (and, for good reason), but he is still more fair in ridiculing both sides than Fox hosts ever could.

Ehhh, I think Bezos thought it would be a worthwhile endeavor to try to save a legacy institution like the Washington Post.
The mounting losses just became ridiculous.

I don't share the view that a rich man should subsidize the Washington Post.
I can think of hundreds more deserving institutions that do good works.
IMO some of these Billionaires got nothing to do with their money...

I would have liked to bang Gretchen Whitmer in her day. I probably would still. I love her smile. ;)

She's apparently very popular in purple state Michigan. Which means the Democrats won't vote for her in the 2028 primaries.
Definitely an attractive lady...but Nancy got some nice cans...

Huh.
I guess I need to watch him within the context of comedian.

He used to be funny as part of Jon Stewart' show...same with John Oliver...as soon as they got their own show...it all about politics...I mean...politics are funny and Trump is giving them a lot of materials...yet they can't manage to make it as funny as Trump does.

So he's like Jimmy Kimmel?
Kind of... I don't watch much of Jimmy Kennel. The only ones I find hilarious and/or top-notch are Jimmy Stewart (by far the best), Colbert, and Jimmy Fallon (the most comedic of them all).

The sad thing is, Trump is trying to be serious or stately...

Everything he does directly within Fox is entertainment. Without being labelled as such.

You mean John Stewart?
Another factor why legacy media is tanking...Podcasts... Joe Rogan took it to them hard...Andrew Schultz etc etc. Michelle O dipped her toes on it too...that's the future...

But Joe diverted. He's no longer a Trumper. I think he understood he didn't want to finish like Alex Jones.

Like I said...Trump has no filter and there are tons of material there...there's a reason when he won 2016...SNL really went hard on impersonating him...it was funny...and there are hundreds of comedians who impersonate him...like endless materials...from the bottom names to the top names of comedy...but no...Kimmel, Colbert and Oliver went the other way.

Joe was never a Trumper....he's a liberal who got turned off because he wanted BErnie instead of Hilary... If anything he also drifted away from Sanders... He questions both sides...he questions Israel, He questions Hamas... he's what legacy media is suppose to be....he got a lot of flack because of his COVID stance which opposed the democrats.

Trump is a dream for comedian because he is a dumb fuck. It has never been the case of a filter.

Do you know Biff from Back to the Future was based on Trump's character? An bully idiot.
