Carnivale...I was so bummed when I heard they weren't gonna continue it
Lost...I bought the first 2 seasons and watched them all one week

Yeah, I forgot about Deadwood, that was a kickass series too. Too bad they cut it short...funny how some of the best series get canned yet all the other crap gets picked up.
Band of Brother's was a great mini series too but what I didn't like is how they bounced around so much and left too many blanks. One week it was winter, the next they were on their way to Berlin in the spring....

Hill Street Blues - it changed cop shows forever
Battlestar Galactica (current version) - this show is well written, dark, and it pokes at current US foreign policy as well as the perception of right/wrong, duty vs honour, love vs institutions etc.

Band of brothers is on dvd.. and its the actual account of what happened to that paratrooper squad... get it on dvd... well worth it.tboy said:

I think my favorites have already been mentioned like Magnum P.I., WKRP, M.A.S.H, etc. I would like to add Oz cause there was some really good acting in it and All In The Family is perhaps the best comedy/drama.
