Best Cheap Steak:
Master Steaks if you need your belly filled. Good for the price but hardly deserving of a quality steak rating.
Best Steak and Frite:
Rosewood Bistro on Dundas in Mississauga. Not pricey and decent steak. Good fries and sauce.
Best Midpriced Steak: Tie between the Keg and Canyon Creek. Both very good steaks and great value. My choice most of the time because there is a point of deminishing returns. The extra price you pay at the fine steak houses does not give you the extra quality you would expect. Despite that I need a fix a few times a year.
Best Steak: Tough one and I've been to most of them. I like The Black Angus on Bloor. It's an old time steak house with great pickles and galic bread. Salads leave something to be desired. A good ceasar salad made at your table is a plus but hard to find these days and would put this place over the top. The most important thing is the steak is exceptional. The rib is the specialty but I've had the NY and the filet and they are great. US I believe.
